It's official. Saturday, April 19th, there will be a sanctioned T1 tourney at Frank and Sons in the city of Industry. $5 entry fee, guaranteed at least $50 first prize. If we get over 10 entrants, all extra money goes back into the prize pool. If all goes well, we'll probably make this a bi-monthly tournement. I know of 15 people who are planning to attend, so come on out and let's see if we can't restart the LA Type 1 scene.

So what's up with the ride, Tracer? Is this something we can pull off? Assuming that goes through, anybody have 3 Cursed Scrolls I can borrow? Sligh is the deck I'd need the fewest cards to play an optimized (excepting Mox Ruby) build of. On a similar note, I have Oath cards (including Ancestral) I could be willing to lend to someone for this tournament.

If I can find a ride I'll go. I'm gonna try to talk dtower and Charlie to go, and maybe find a ride with Charlie. Maybe.

Charlie 1- Doesn't have cards and 2- Doesn't have a car.
I can give rides, but I'm not exactly sure I've got going with me as of right now.
Cid- I MIGHT have 3 scrolls you could use, it all depends on when my cards get here. I'll keep you posted.
I know for sure that one of my friends needs a ride, and two more have automatic priority (BrianB and Neenjafus; Team Blurry Eyed gonna represent!). Outside of that, I can probably give rides to most people, if you're somewhat on the way.

If this is going to be a regular event, I will be able to bring a few people myself in. I really hope so, I used to live in KC, KS and love T1 and havent been able to find anywhere real good around here to play.
I hope this becomes regular!!

This is really looking like it will become likely Bi-Monthly, or at worst, a Monthly tournement. I'm going to have a short little survey for everybody there in order to see what everybody thinks about Prizes, Sancitoning, Time, schedule, etc. I'm really looking forward to this and am even going down to San Diego to advertise to those guys on Monday night.

I encourage people to go. I live in San Fransisco, but I make it a point to stop by that strange Frank&Sons warehouse thingy when I am in LA because they have a big space to play and a ton of dealers with good prices. Its definitely worth a trip.

Just a quick update for all interested parties. It's official for Saturday the 19th at 11:30am. $5 entry fee, still guaranteed $50 cash for 1st (I was recently informed by Frank's that they're going to take a dollar off every head, so the overall pool may be slightly lower, but I'll still put up the cash to make it $50). I'm now expecting 15-20, but that number could easily jump up to 25-30 if the "I might comes" end up showing. In addition, the number of well tuned decks is increasing, and we now expect, among other things, Ducktape, GroTog, TnT, Void, Parfait, Sligh, and Oath.

So who else is gonna attend this event, seems like im going (thanks to tracer). Frank and Sons is an awesome place, very cheap and has plenty of other things to do. Has plenty of food so you wont have to go out and get stuff. Also, its sorta hard to find the place going there your first time, so my advice is to leave early if this is your first time going.

I really hope this takes off as I was always a bit bothered that L.A. (of all places) didn't have a larger T1 scene.
