Author Topic: Best Date for TMD Northeast Champ #2?  (Read 4517 times)

It's time for the initial preparations of the next TMD Northeast Championship. It has already been (mostly) decided that the event will be held in August and it will be held in Syracuse again at Altered States.

This poll is to determine which weekend will be the best for everyone. I am assuming that most people will be starting school in late August so I am predicting that August 9th or August 16th will be the best weekend. If only a couple Saturdays work out for you, then I would suggest voting for the first one.

As always, I'm open to any suggestions.

I won't be on the east coast until about the 27th, so the 30th is the only saturday in August that I could be there.

I think you just did, but "Most Saturdays (later better)" seems like the proper choice to me.

I duno about other people, but college usually starts at around early September and I will be out of the country until around the end of the second week in august, so personally i would REALLY REALLY like it to be on the 30th. All New York Public Schools start on the 12th of september or something like that, so having a late date should not be that much a problem in my opinion, so for me and Jacob, go on the 30th

The earlier the better as far as I'm concerned.  If you schedule it on 8/23 or later you're going to lose a lot of people to college, such as myself

I also went with the earlier, the better. It doesn't really matter to me, as long as I know enough in advance, but like others have said, you don't want to lose people to college stuff.

Those dates are all nice, but is it possibly to set something up in July??? August seems a bit far away...

I might be able to make it if it's early on.  Otherwise, college.

Earlier the better due to college and what not would be my call.

I voted for the 9th, but I guess any weekend would be good for me as long as it does not fall on August 2nd.  The first is my birthday and I should be completely hung-over on the second.  Though, this would be kinda cool as it would be sort of a Birthday Bash for me... On the other hand, I don't think my girlfriend will be pleased if I am away at a torny on my B-day...

By the way the answer to your question is 33. \n\n

i have no plans that far in advance, so anytime is good right now.  if i remember correctly from the last rash of poles like this, it is much easier to allow people to list which dates they can make (multiple) instead of picking 1 favorite or dates they can't make.

also, i don't know if you guys recall, but basically everyone from hadley ended up 4-2, 3-1-2 or something pretty good at the last one and mikeatog made top 8   .  that was us getting comfortable, just wait til august.

bring on the trash talking thread...

I might actually attend a tournament.  I don't generally play type 1 tournaments because I don't usually have money to finish off my decks.  But I might be able to.  Where is the tournament?  If the distance is okay, then I'll vote for a time.  Otherwise I don't see why my say matters.
