The monthly T1 tournament at Carta Magica in Montreal will be held on June 1st, starting at 10:00 AM. The first prize will consist of 150$ (CDN), while the rest of the Top 8 will receive store credit. Registration is at 9:00-9:30 and the tournament should start at 10:00. Their should be around 40-50 people(if not more). The Metagame is composed of alot of power players, including various Gro, TOG, Hulk, Keeper, B/G VOID, Sui, U/R phidian, Sligh, Parfait, TnT (sweet!), and of course some random rogue deck. The level of the players is very strong and experienced. But most of all, they're all very cool! I'll be there as usual, and my friend too ( he plays sligh, made top at the lotus tourny). If you want a good look at the metagame, there is an article on Carta's Site in french and english about the April tournament, there's a metagame analysis and the Top 8 decklists. I'm writing a similar summary with decklists thing for the lotus tourney. That should be up sometime next week. Cy'all there -Paul |

I see some of my modifications have made their way into your deck. Werent you one of the guys questioning my 2 Mountain tech?
I TOLD YOU BASIC LANDS ARE BROKEN!
Also, you were right about Genesis, its way too slow to maindeck it. It is still in my sb however.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I wasn't the one arguing with you over the fact that 2 Monutains were essentail to the deck. In my previous build, I always had at least 1 Mountain, just in case of B2B... Althought Green is the most crucial colour in the deck (for SOTF), but without Red mana, how can you possibly cast REB, or even worse, Goblin Welder.
As for Genesis, he's way too slow. Even in my sideboard, my mana is just too precious. Besides the Blood Moons, I really consider the Naturalize be the the second best cards in my sideboard.
Tell me, when are we going to see ya at the tourneys?

Nope, i still dont think Sligh can be competitive, which means you wont be seeing me at any tourney unless someone has a spare deck to lend me.

@Fever Sligh isnt viable? Matt made top 8 with sligh, and Matt is reckless, his play skill is unrefined. He is however, a hardcore sligh player and in experienced hands with a bit of luck, the deck is viable.
Ill be there of course, and i might have a chance to play a different deck! Can anyone lend a sol ring in case??

Well, I might be there, but not with a Keeper, since my power set isn't completed yet. I think a 3/4 poowerwed Mask may be better than a 3/4 powered Keeper
Anybody has a Mask in his binder for me? I'm still missing one.
