Rough Draft...
4 Flametongue Kavu 4 Fire/Ice 4 Ophidian 2 Morphling 4 Mana Drain 4 Counterspell 3 Lightning Bolt 2 Forbid 2 Force of Will 2 Powder Keg 4 Brainstorm 1 Ancestral Recall
24 mana sources
I'm not sure about the SB, but probably more Kegs, Pyroclasm, etc.
Maybe run Cunning Wish.

Flametongue Kavu does not belong in a Type 1 deck. Not running four Force of Will is quite a bad idea.
Here's a version I got from somewhere else (whoever you are, sorry I can't recall your name). I've played with it from time to time; it does pretty well.
4 Force of Will 4 Mana Drain 4 Mana Leak 2 Misdirection
2 Merchant Scroll 1 Time Walk 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Fact or Fiction 1 Capsize
4 Fire/Ice 1 Gorilla Shaman 1 Prophetic Bolt (In an aggro environment I'd probably use Kegs instead of the Pro. Bolt and mox monkey)
4 Ophidian 3 Morphling
7 Island 4 Volcanic Island 4 Shivan Reef 3 Wasteland 1 Strip Mine 1 Library of Alexandria 1 Black Lotus 1 Sol Ring 5 Moxen

All the moxen will considerably speed up the deck. A lot of the cards in this deck require a good bit of colorless mana to cast so you can use off color moxen to speed it up. The second decklist is the one you want to make. Flametongue kavu's actualy do have a place in type 1. U/R Phid players run a few in the Sideboard against pretty much any creature heave deck and they are a 4/2 beatdown.

As Skeeter said, the off-color Moxen are there to accelerate the deck. A first turn land + Mox allows you to Mana Leak from the first turn, or cast Merchant Scroll at the opponent's EOT if they cast nothing you need to counter. Also, if you play first, an early Mox allows you to play an early Ophidian against other control unmolested unless they have FoW.
I'll admit that Flametonges are OK against the artifact-based decks like TnT, but there are better solutions. Here, for example, Control Magic would probably be a better SB choice than Flametongue against TnT. The only place I would imagine Flametongue being good is in a TnT sideboard for the mirror.
As for a sideboard, here is the one that came with the decklist (again, thanks whoever I got it from). It should be fine in your meta.
4 Red Elemental Blast 4 Flametongue Kavu (I prefer Control Magic; Flametongues are good against Sligh/TnT but you didn't mention those in your meta) 3 Blood Moon 2 Pyroclasm 1 Hydroblast 1 Scrying Glass
P.S. Funny thing to do vs. Stompy is Misdirect a pump spell onto Ophidian and use it to block. Misdirect Rancor and Ophidian is almost as good as

I'd say it's really personal preference. Fire/Ice almost singlehandedly owns sligh, and Control Magic is preferable to Flametongue Kavu against TnT since they can just Welder creatures back if you kill them. On the other hand, Flametongue Kavu allows you to become an aggro-control deck when necessary. I use Control Magic, but FTK is a reasonable choice as well.
I highly recommend staying at three Morphlings, but if you want to cut down to two then I'd add a Stroke of Genius in place of the third.

FTK is Flametongue Kavu
And for the 3rd spot for the morphlings I would add a masticore is the 3rd Spot.
Skeeter974
Prophetic Bolt acts a prettyh good burn source (4 damage) that has a built in impulse. I would use both keg and bolt maindeck.

I also apologize for this post. FeverDog, I can't PM you because I am not registered. Luckily, Zherbus has asked me to email him and I think he may be granting me a membership. Either way, my e-mail address is: marco_toso@hotmail.com
