Hey, how'z it going? I've been lurking over these boards the past week or so in hopes of finding a strategy or two that I could tweak and use to my advantage. One of the best that I've seen was Deck Parfait, but everybody said that 'it was too slow to be effective'. So I got thinking (something I do a lot), and I decided after a while to try and throw in Red as well. Why red? Because red has a lot of quick burn, and an enchantment that would replace Moat with some success.

Strawberry Parfait

10 Plains
3 Mountain (should I add more?)

4 Land Tax
2 Humility
1 Ivory Mask
4 StP
4 Argivian Find
4 Orim's Chant
1 Enlightened Tutor
3 Replenish
2 Planar Birth
1 Balance

3 Land's Edge
4 Lightning Bolt
2 Incinerate
3 Firebolt

2 Powerstone Minefield

3 Scroll Rack
3 Zorb
3 Soldevi Digger
2 Powder Keg
1 Mox Ruby
1 Mox Pearl

A detailed explanation of each card choice is here.

Okay, here some maybe-reasons why you did not get a single response yet:

1) WHy not copy and paste the card explanations and write them out? The more effort you put in your post, the greater the chace that someone answers.

2) This is almost no Parfait anymore with allmost all control elements gone.

3) All the misconceptions of his deck combined with the quote that you like to think  alot:
a) Why replace Moat, one of the most effective ways to stop creatures? And why replace it with Powerstone Minefield that has no relevance in Type I whatsoever because it is way to slow for the creatures that it can actually kill? (Yes, its a combo with the Humility, but that requires having 2 cc4 enchantments in play)
b) Parfait is slow because its a control/lock deck. In that way it is slow by definition. What the people who said that Parfait is too slow meant was: Its controlling elements are too slow. Unlike things like Duress and Counterspells the elements of Parfait need more time and are only strong when they work together.
c) 13 lands plus two Moxes, are you kidding? If you dont have 4 mana asap, you are dead. Opponents do counter/destroy Land Taxes, you know?
d) Your kill is now red direct damage. Exclusively. Players do have CoP:Red in sideboards and even Mainboard. And your deck has no single Disenchant-effect.
e) Three Soldevi Diggers? Arenīt you aiming for a shorter game? Even if not, 2 is the maximum of Diggers you should run.
f) Firebolt. You do mean Firestorm, do you? But either is not that good, dont rely too much on Land Tax.
g) Your version runs less (useful) enchantments and more ways to dump lands into the grave, so use more Planar Births and less Replenishs.
h) Landīs Edge means discarding lands to the grave and Planar Birth puts them into play. No way to get them back into the hand (only via Zuran Orb=> DIgger =>Tax, which is manahungry and requires you to have almost your entire deck in play). Somehow this all does not work. Looks a bit like the casual deck I am planning for one of the next installments of the SCS, but not like a serious Type I deck.

That is no bashing, remind you. Take from it what you can.

I totally agree with Puschkin, what you are running doesn't even resemble parfait.  This is not meant to be a bash of any kind, the land's edge trick is interesting but you need to build a deck around it if you want to use it.  IT should become somekind of combo deck that should explode, not slowly build.

I would suggest something quicker than digger, like feldon's cane (crutch!).

Off the top of my head.

4 Chants
4 Ivory Tower
4 StP
4 Tax
3 Rack
3 Zorb
4 Land's Edge
3 Replenish
4 Feldon's Cane
1 Enlightened Tutor
7 SoLoMoxen
14 Plains
4 Mountains

I don't even know if that would work just giving you something to start from if you want to go the combo route

If you want to ramp up the kill in parfait try Empyrial Armor.  Drop it on one of you ponies and make a fat, fat pony.  Though if you run empyrial armor you MUST run claws of gix incase you need to replenish while they have a creature out and you don't.  You control the permanent so it is yours to sack, even if it is on their permanent.

Another possibility for red/white parfait, would be to run goblin trenches instead of the mesa and run a bunch of planar births.  Though if ankh sligh is in you area, planar birth will eat you alive.
