Does a player who plays misdirection on Cabal Therapy get to choose a new card name?
Ex: I cast Cabal Therapy naming Morphling. My opponent responds by playing MisD. Is the card name still Morphling?

Thx guys!

Technically, the card name is not chosen untill the therapy resolves.

So he has to give you the oppurtunity to respond before naming a card, and then names a card when the spell resloves (and after its too late to respond the the therapy).

But The person who cast cabal therapy is always the person who chooses the card name, even if its been misdirected back at the caster.  And the card isn't named untill its resolving  (and everyone knows who its targeting and its too late to change).

So you cast cabal therapy, naming nothing.  Always.

Technically you cast the Therapy, then name the cardname "Nothing". And reval your hand.

I hate the word technically.

Yes, you are right.

Crystalkeep.com's answer

You name the card during resolution, then your opponent reveals their hand and discards if appropriate. There is no way for your opponent to do anything between you naming the card and them discarding. [Judgment FAQ 2002/05/28]
