It isn't bad but you have to understand that against Dragon you probably won't be able to use it until turn 3 and that may well be too late. Dragon could still go off using Necromancy (as an instant) anyway.

Parfait owns you as you probably won't be able to remove any enchantments that hit play so removing the graveyard has much less effect (I think most Parfait's have stopped using that Planar rebirth effect anyway (sorry can't think of the card) and while stopping Replenish is a good thing, it is far less important if you can't get good stuff in the graveyard in the first place. Granted, discard can help but remember that if they find a turn 4 Replenish you are fairly unlikely to have cast a ton of discard AND cast and used the Wretch.

YawgWin is a problem but watering down your deck with weaker creatures just to hose a restricted card means that YawgWin has already hosed you, even if your opponent hasn't drawn it.

Compare the Wretch to Crypt or Phyrexian Furnace  and you see that dedicated graveyard hosers are cheaper (and so quicker) and more likely to work when you need them to work. Black also has access to Ebony Charm and Funeral Charm.

Compare the Wretch to Nantuko Shade, pumpknights, etc and you see that there are better creatures.

The Wretch is OK but probably doesn't make the cut unless you see a huge amount of graveyard decks and you are using Null Rods and so can't use artifacts.

But then you'd want planar void.

planar void > withered wretch

unless of course a to-be-reanimated is already in the graveyard, but in that case you should probably use Tormod's Crypt.

Squee, maybe elaborate more next time and explain your reasonings. Be lucky that dandan put 5 times more effort in his reply than you did with your initial post.

I think I would have to give tumbs up on this dude.

Reason's he is better then other choices.

He can attack.
You can still play your own Yawgwill.
He can be reused.
You can pack 4 after sideboarding and not be really pentilized.

It's a 2/2 for bb right?  if so its not the worst deal ever, and its ability requires colorless mana, not that that is so important, but still.  He is usefull against grow, as u get rid of their graveyard and their werebears/ nimble mongeese get tiny again.  It's not a horrible card, and i think that it can find its uses.  It is probably a meta call, as planar void is doing the job now, but if getting a itsy bitsy beat stick along with graveyard hate is what you want then its the card for you.  One problem i see is that it sucks your mana, not a ton, but still some.
