We played some form of modified Swiss.  I'm used to playing in double-elim style tourneys, so this was an interesting experience for me.  Anyway, I lost my opening match 2-1.  I then proceeded to win my next 4 matches at 2-1.  I thought that at a record of 9-6 overall I was out of the running (remember I knew nothing about the scoring system).  Apparently, they chose to play after the initial 5 rounds only to break ties.  So, I was quite surprised to find out that I had been declared the "winner" of the tourney.  I was greatly helped by who I didn't have to play as much as who I did play.  However, I found the format to be quite fun.  We have a number of younger players who usually go out 0-2 in tourneys and I think they were pleased to get to play 5 rounds and have an opportunity to win some matches.  I'll now add this particular deck to my Goblin Sligh that won a couple months ago as being retired from tourney play for now.  Now, it's on to straight green LD.
