Greetings,  I'll start off by introducing myself to this site as this would be my first post.  Name is Jeff, married, got one 15 month old son that will play vintage someday.  I live in MN, I have recently gotten back into magic, specifically T1.

Black is my magic color of choice.  Maybe with some G or U mixed in if the mood is just right.  If you have read various posts here on themanadrain about tournies at Dreamers or Gametech or other places... that is my meta.
A quick recap...
-seems to be lots of BBS/Urphidian
-Keeper a plenty
-Sligh seems to be the usual dominant aggro of choice.  Stompy being second.  WW, Fish, Sui, Void also make a presence.
-I always get the feeling combo isn't as prevalent as it could be.  Masknaught, Dragon, other combo, and even Trix have  made an appearance.

So this is the deck I have been working on...

"Chop Sui"

//creatures 12
4 Nantuko Shade
4 Hypnotic Spectre
4 Phyrexian Negator

//disruption 23
4 Duress
4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Sinkhole
4 Wasteland
4 Diabolic Edict
2 Contagion
1 Strip Mine

//brokeness 2
1 Yawgmoth's Will
1 Demonic Tutor

//mana 23
17 Swamp
4 Dark Ritual
1 Mox Jet
1 Black Lotus

//sideboard
3 Masticore
3 Powder Keg
3 Planar Void
2 Dystopia
2 Null Rod
1 Contagion
1 Dust Bowl

The deck gets it's name from the abnormal amount of critter hate.

I believe that in order for Suicide to compete with the likes of TNT and new/better aggro it has to pack more creature removal.  This version adds removal while taking out 4 creatures.  I'm not sure if this is the best route to go or not.  I could go with Nether Void, but that archetype has similar problems of course.

Any advice any of you pros could give would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Maybe switch two of the Edicts for Smothers? It takes out most aggro critters, barring Zoo mongeese. It's obviously worse against Keeper, and WW (pro-knights), but I think it's better against most aggro decks, especially sligh and sui mirror. I guess it depends on the ratio of keeper to aggro.
