Before I post the decklist, I'll explain the (extremely scrubby) environment this deck will be used in.
1. Most of the decks flat-out blow. 2. I expect to win the whole shebang, and I want to have fun doing it. White weenie has always been fun to me. Mono-w versions appeal to me more than splashed versions. 3. Any control decks there will suck. I expect 85%+ aggro. 4. The only decks that concern me are a couple of R/B burn/discard/land destr. decks (which is one reason why I chose ww in the first place).
//NAME: white weenie // creatures 3 Mother of Runes 4 Savannah Lions 2 Warrior en-Kor 4 Soltari Monk 4 Soltari Priest 4 White Knight 2 Paladin en-Vec 1 Devout Witness // utility 1 Zuran Orb 3 Land Tax 3 Armageddon 4 Swords to Plowshares // creature pump 4 Empyrial Armor // mana 17 Plains 1 Strip Mine 3 Wasteland // sideboard SB: 1 Land Tax SB: 2 Disenchant SB: 2 Aura of Silence SB: 3 Story Circle SB: 3 Conversion SB: 2 Reprisal SB: 2 Ivory Mask
the sideboard has pretty much been thrown together, and no card is sacred. i'm thinking the last 4 slots are really iffy.
In a slow-ish, crappy environment like this, am I better off with spells (disenchant & reprisal) or creatures with similar abilities (devout witness & intrepid hero)?
Any opinions & comments welcome.

Wiener If it's not serious, it doesn't belong in a serious forum. Hence, I Moved this.
However, here was the CrapWhiteWeenie.dec I messed around with for fun:
Spells (6) 1 Balance 1 Enlightened Tutor 4 Swords to Plowshares Artifacts (8) 1 Mox Diamond 2 Scroll Rack 4 Urza's Bauble (tings) 1 Zuran Orb Enchantments (9) 3 Empyrial Armor 4 Land Tax 2 Seal of Cleansing Creatures (19) 1 Masticore 2 Mother of Runes 4 Order of Leitbur 2 Phyrexian War Beast 4 Savannah Lions 2 Soltari Monk 4 Soltari Priest Land (18) 1 Dust Bowl 14 Plains 1 Strip Mine 2 Undiscovered Paradise
-Don't run less than 4 Land Tax main. -Mise well take advantage of the Tax-Rack engine. -Paladin blows. War Beast is usually just as hard to deal with and survives Abyss. -Baubles are in because I wanted to maintain the ratio of spells/creatures/land. It worked nicely.
You can always fiddle around with the slots, but you'll pretty much want to keep the curve as-is. War Beasts can become Devout Witnesses, if you want, etc.
About spells vs. creatures with similar abilities, that depends on the likelihood of the critter getting fried. Is Intrepid Hero going to have a chance to off a fattie or two, or is he just going to be a 3cc bolt target?

Here you go
4 Savannah Lions 4 Soltari Priest 4 Soltari Monk 4 Icatian Javlineers 4 Whipcorder 4 White Knight
4 Swords to Plowshares
4 Land Tax 4 Empyrial Armor 4 Spirit Link
15 Plains 1 Strip Mine 4 Wasteland
SB 4 Light of Day 4 Conversion 4 Seal Of Cleansing 3 Story Circle
There you go, White Weenie Scrub Killa!
Spirit link will be fun and serve as a better zuran orb for the environment you are mentioning, drop it on a pro red guy and swing for the kill and life gain. Also great against stupid fat critters.

Quote (Guest @ Feb. 14 2003,09:53)4 Whipcorder I can't figure this out? Who are you planning to tap?? I guess Dreadnought right? I couldn't think of anything else, that would matter.

Good point, I guess whipcorder is the panic button vs wierd fat critters.
In an environment that unpowered I would just run some janky combo deck. Dragon/IllDon/PandeBurst. Of course I would feel really dirty afterwards

Spirit Link is hardly a Zuran Orb replacement. White Weenie doesn't care a WHOLE lot about the life gain. It's the (re)gained ability to use Land Tax out of nowhere that packs the punch.
Additionally, zero maindeck ways to deal with enchantments or artifacts is...bad, to say the least.
Usually pumpknights take precedent over White Knight. Extra Land Taxed lands becomes useful.
There's no reason not to run Mox Diamond, but if you ph33r opposing wastelands, Undiscovered Paradise is far from a must in a mono-colored build.\n\n

I appreciate all the replies.
A few points:
1. Even though I was really looking for sb suggestions, it's interesting to see the widely varied MD lists.
2. My deck was built with those red/black decks in mind...thus the presence of cards like the paladins and en-kors.
3. 4 land tax main seems good. I like that my best defense against both discard and land destruction (sinkhole is the new in-vogue card with the kids I'm playing with) are in my main deck. Conversion is just icing on the cake against mono-R.
4. I've found the 3 Moms really neuter stompy. I don't think there's any need to sb much for that matchup, though reprisals can come in. Winter Orb isn't really much of a problem, but some disenchants can come in there.
5. I'm guessing Armageddon is out of style in 2003? I'm the only person who has mana drains, so I don't fear casting the 4cc sorcery.
6. I'll test one mox diamond. Seems like it would be fine with Land tax.
7. Using story circle and conversion, I didn't want mana-intensive creatures like pump knights or even masticore...in testing, I tended to keep using masticore as a regenerator and not a pinger. While that's not necessarily a bad thing, I thought other spells would serve better.
8. I keep wavering on balance...sometimes it's good, sometimes not. The spirit links didn't seem to do enough for me, so I abandoned those from the sb a while ago. The zuran orb is indeed for taxing purposes, not really to gain life.

Wow can I come over and play....
Sounds like you are just slaughtering the lambs.
Just run red stompy and smash their faces in fast.
Basically you are asking for help beating a bunch of scrubs who have no chance of really beating you. And since there is not Keeper, TNT, Mask, Dragon, Gro, or any other serious threats, hell run reanimator or EhrnamGeddon.

if it were me i'd cut the maindeck geddons and put in scroll racks. i'd also try to find room room for an enlightened tutor and at least one seal of cleansing, to give you some form of artifact/enchantment removal, and a way to tutor up utility cards.
as for the sideboard, i'd recomend extra seals, just in case, and possibly icatian javlineers. i've had good expirences with the javlineers, and might consider running them maindeck if youre meta is very aggro, as white has little effective removal.
