Hi my name is Pat Giles and I am an extreme type 1 magic player. And over the years I have found worthy players such as Freddie Williams a.k.a. Freddie my mentor David Boliere a.k.a. Black Explosion my friend Taylor Rieke a.k.a. Slycaptainfox also my friend/ rival Matt Ritez a.k.a. Rietz who is my comical companion and many other great players such as Brian Pierce one of the best type one magic players I have ever seen, Kevin Hunt whom mentored Freddie and finally my best friend Ben Parrot. The list goes on but that's not why I am writting this article. These players are all my great friends and mentors.

This game has changed my life for the better. Before magic I was a total no one and had bad karma then I met Ben who changed all of that. He taught me the basics of the game and then took me to my first type 1 tourney that's when I met every one else including the man I look up to and strive to be like that man is Freddie Williams. I don't know why I was so intrigued by him maybe it was the free cards he gave me but from then on I wanted to be him. Over the years I got better and better then I saw the mother of all decks red and green hate. Witch won me a lot of tourneys and drove me to Gen Con and witch drove Craig Olsen a.k.a. Milton to hate Keeper. After Gen Con I was winning big tourneys and beating the great players I looked up too. I earned my spot of honor among the Grate Samurai of magic.

Still I am trying to improve my skills and be the best by playing challenging decks. But as long as I have grate friends like Freddie and Ben I know I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. Thanks you guys you have always been there for me in my time of need and I am blessed to know all of the grate men witch I am proud to call my friends.

Edit: Added some breaks so people can actually read it.

This is a really nice sentiment.

Pat is the best aggro player that I know, and is doing really well towards becoming a great control player as well.

Thanks for the props and I hope that as time goes on, that you can become a member of themanadrain.

Good luck buddy.

I love hearing these things; it truly almost brings a tear to my eye. I have had so many good times, and met so many people playing this game.

For the past week or two I was pondering why I still play this game that is emtying my wallet, interfering with school, and taking much of my time, and this statement by Pat just made me realize why: the people and the good times. Thanks man for reminding me.

the wost to me is that pat cannot edit it, since he is unregistered...

I am glad that you all share the sentiment!

For me, it will even make a tournament 10x better if I have a few good friends, if we play each othr or not... just having them there makes me play better, and even if I lose, it is still awesome!
