The Tinker is weak.

Not even one Swords to Plowshares? I'd maindeck that before Edict.

You also have an uncomfortably low number of wastelands, is this due to some low-budget metagame?

The metagame is really weird where I play. I think the people that play there just randomly throw cards together and almost never use duals. Most of them play mono or 2 colors and I find that my wastelands were only used to take out their wastelands and that didn't seem very good to me. Sligh is the most used followed by suicide and void. TNT is the best deck they will even think of playing and that almost never happens and allways seems to happen when I play it. All but a few of them own the power 9 so it isn't a low-budget problem.

and some sideboard mistakes

-1 naturalize
-1 misdirection

IF you want to play Tinker, which isn't too great, at least add Mirari, which can be a lot of fun to play with, and great to have against control-mirrors.
And you have to love Ancestral + Mirari.

Keeper, maybe more then anything else, is really a metagame consideration. While the paragon is generally regarded as best version, mostly because of the stable manabase, however, combo keeper (paragon + power artifact/grim monolith) is what we use around here, and Trinity seems to win tournaments somewhere in Austria.

So it's pretty much about metagame, and some personal flavour.

One thing I noticed as mentioned earlier was no Swords to Plowshares, you gotta have at least one.  I like the Trinity build but not the Tinker.  Actually the first thing that caught my eye was 3 Cunning Wishes.  I see 1 or 2 being more optimal as with 3 I think you would find them too often in your hand.  They are a bit clumsy at times.  I also didn't see the Stroke MD, I think it does better MD then SB.  I would cut a wish and MD Stroke.  61 cards too, never liked the idea.  You said that Sligh is most common in your area, is it AnkhSligh because if it is you will be wishing you didn't play those fetchies.  5 life for one land is a little expensive.  Where is the LoA, don't own one or don't want to play one?  I would consider playing it as you would find it a drawing machine.

I can't believe I forgot library. I was pretty tierd when I typed this out and have been tinkering with my build a little to much.
-1 tinker
-1 diabolic edict
-1 moat

+1 LoA
+1 StP
+1 Fact or Fiction

I like the stroke on the board so that I don't draw into it to soon. The 3rd cunning wish allows me to get it whenever. And I allways find myself pitching one to force of will early in the game. So the 3rd makes for a good back up.

I'm wondering how you are liking the starstorm. We have been trying it, and found it good enough, but we aren't sure what exactly to take out. We do play the combo, so we also already have a Volcanic Geyser and E. Tutor in the side, but we don't use Alter Reality tech.
So, have you tested it extensively, since then I'd like to hear about it.

As for the starstorm it is great it is so fun watching any aggro deck over extend with creatures and then watch them all be killed in one little "in responce I will cunning wish for starstorm". I have had more than one player scoop to that statement. The RR cc isn't hard at all with the fetchlands. Plus another big thing is it is a way to deal with morphling and can't be misdirected very big plus with all the grow/tog decks running around these days.

And as far as the cop red, alter reality it is very usefull. Even in the mirror they have to counter the reality twice do to the flash back and even then they have to worry about you wishing for it again. I have made good use of both of these and they have done me well.

If you are wondering how long I have been using the starstorm tech we put it in about a month after onslaught became legal and haven't taken it out once it proved it self. I play in a local tourney in Detriot, MI every wed. and for awhile I was playing in one every sunday in Toledo, OH. The usual build we play doesn't have the power/monolith combo in it. I am usually the only one in the group that will play it. Here is the deck list that we play when we don't play combo:

1 black lotus
1 mox sapphire
1 mox ruby
1 mox jet
1 mox pearl
1 sol ring
1 Library of Alexandria

2 brainstorm

6 black
1 yawgmoth's will
1 the abyss

1 demonic tutor
1 vampiric tutor
1 diabolic edict

4 white
