Alright,  I'm not asking for deck ideas, i'm not looking for suggestions on changing my deck in general, I find it works well game 1 in most situations.  I'll post my deck list in ordre to help everyone help me with sideboard choices.

Mana Production

16 Swamp
4 Dark Ritual
1 Black Lotus(proxy)
1 Mox Jet(Proxy)
1 Sol Ring

Strip Effect/Mana Production

1 Strip Mine
4 Waste Land

Strip Effect/Control

4 Sinkhole

Control

4 COTV
4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Duress

Creatures/Control

4 Withered Wretch

Creatures

4 Nantuko Shade
4 Phyrexian Negator

Restricted Goodness

Demonic Tutor
Yawgwin
Mind Twist
Necropotence

Sideboard:

2 Masticore
2 Powder Keg
3 Null Rod
2 Planar Void
4 Contagion
2 Gate to Phyrexia

Alright, I'll explain..

Gate to Phyrexia  BB
Enchantment

Sacrifice one of your creatures during your upkeep to destroy any one artifact.  You may not sacrifice a creature that is already on it's way to the graveyard.

"Current Rules Text
Sacrifice a creature: Destroy target artifact. Play this ability only during your upkeep and only once each turn. [Oracle 2001/08/24]  "

Now, i only have 12 creatures, a maximum of 14 if masticores are SB'd in.  However the masticores have cool synergy with it if it works right.  ~ sac the masticore to gate before it takes effect.  It's slow i know. .   anyways. back to the card.  I still run yawgmoth's will unlike most new chalice black deck ideas.  I figure if i sac some creatures to the gate in order to slow down if not trash mud because i have the contagions and can take care of the welders.  I just think it'd be a cool idea.  Suggestions anyone?

Well richard,
I think it is an interesting idea. I much prefer a red splash for 4 rack and ruin and gorilla shaman (i.e. funk a monk) SB if you want to hate work shop. Will you make yourself more succeptible to a strip...yes but my suggestion: break stuff and try and win.

I really liked your decklist we discussed but, random decks just get pwned by chalices in keeper.

IF i splash red into my build i firmly believe that i will get hosed in matches that should be a virtual almost-win for me.  By proposing this card as being useful i hope to eliminate weakening my mana base thus still allowing me to have a good matchup against keeper and in the mirror match.

Hmm... if you want to beat Chalice Keeper, 16 2 mana cards (19 w/sided Null Rods) doesn't seem too hot... your testing no doubt > mine, though.

Red also Brings Bloodmoons   wich will help bringin down keeper and combo!!!

but keeper doesn't beat me.  That's what i'm trying to say.  Why improve a matchup that doesn't need improving?

dragon beats you, and you're probebly not to happy with the workshop/mud matchup . Blood moon helps you out here too...

anyway, f you really fear artifacts that much, why are you playing Chalice Suicide and not Just Classic Sui wich runs Null Rods... (that is effective vs artifacts Razz)

again going back to classic suicide hurts other matchups.  I only want to improve on this decklist that does well against most matchups except mud.  and no, dragon does not beat me. a first or second turn wretch is fantastic.  along with the wastes to trash bazaars.  no.. dragon does not beat me.

@comrade: I thought I explained in this thread that I switched to keeper after trying chalice black...having reviewed the thread I found that I haven't said that.

What I was trying to say that since I switched to keeper, I can beat random decks much easier (which seems to be what my metagame is composed of).

I think that since the creature count is so low that gateway to phyrexia is not the way to go. Instead, i suggest breeding pits to combat the workshop decks. Extra dorks to tap or sac to the stack does not really promote parity.

This is where i get confused.  My presentation of Gate to Phyrexia was to offer the idea of being played with cards like contagion to take out the welder and also the artifacts welder could possibly bring back once taken care of.

@jazzy kat, i understand what you're talking about when it comes to just bringing out more critters to sac to the stack and tap to the tanglewire, but wouldn't just getting rid of them be more efficient?

I think what he is saying is that since you have so few creatures sacing them to gates could be a risk and breeding pit are just tokens. If you are running gates though maybe use unearth? all your creatures have lower than 3 casting cost(except masticores). You can put unearths in sideboard for when you side in gates. Is it really neccasary for 4 wretches and 2 planar voids?

also another point. Masticore is good against aggro. correct? chalice takes care of aggro. except maybe the mirror. it shuts stompy, sligh, and shuts hulk down at 3. why not just run chalices? Chalice also works against long at 0. Im not too sure about the 4 contagions either. That seems kind of overload?

well thats all i have to say.

and the kegs?  lol..   I know how that looks.  but tomorrow (ruby tournament at the place i work) there will be several powered white decks built for people who don't REALLY have the experience to play them.  Never the less they run worship and the soltari's that beat the crap out of me.  if i don't draw the kegs, i draw the contagions, if i don't draw either, i draw masticore. the ultimate beatstick... they don't seem to run pariah though, not sure why, don't want them to haha.   That's why there's the aggro overload.  I need to make it passed round 1 and 2 where i could play against scrub metagame before i get to play where my deck can shine.. know what i mean?

As for that unearth concept.  cool idea, but i can only sac one critter to the gate during my upkeep anyways, i need control of the game against stax and mud before i can do anything creature wise anyways.  that lets me yawgwin or just draw into a beastly card.
