There have been a few R/G decks floating around lately.. and I've had a handful of them on the backburner for a while. The B&R list sort of made me want to update one of them- so here it is:

4 Wild Mongrel
4 Basking Rootwalla
4 Arrogant Wurm
3 Roar of the Wurm
2 Red Elemental Blast
3 Rancor
4 Fiery Temper
4 Kird Ape
2 Violent Eruption
2 Squee, Goblin Nabob
2 Anger
1 Wheel of Fortune
4 Bazaar of Baghdad
1 Lion’s Eye Diamond
7 SoLoMoxen
1 Chrome Mox
4 Wooded Foothills
4 Taiga
2 Forest
2 Mountain

It underwent some big changes. I didn't even post a SB since I feel blood moon might not be too good to side in because of the -3 discard outlets leaving bazaar as a necessity. What do you guys think about this? That european deck with maindeck REB's seemed pretty cool to me, so I decided to maindeck a few to make up for loss of blue in a fair amount of matchups. I can't tell if it's going to be a slow r/g deck that wastes a land drop on bazaar, or a fast madness deck (for 1 LED, that is). I might like to maindeck fastbond. It may sound silly, but I am considering running that flashback shock. This stemmed from the fact that I was looking for 1 more madness burn spell, and of course there isn't one, but there is a shock with flashback. However, with the -3 LED, I probably will keep bolts over this flashback burn spell.

For the sideboard, it's basically as if some form of graveyard hate is mandatory. Crypt is nice, but what about Ground Seal? I hope it's not too janky because it seems moderately viable. I also considered Sulfuric Vortex at one point, and am still on the fence. Chalice is a contender for ~3 slots as well, and Artifact Mutation will almost definitely find a home.

Squee may seem slow, and he probably is, but I'd keep the 2 in. Besides supplying advantage through Bazaar, this giving the deck a late games vs. control, he seems worthwhile. The key use, however, looks like an easy slot to side out for siding in hate.

I am working on updating another R/G deck that I actually test once in a while

I don't think that cutting draw spells is a good idea, especially when the deck needs them more than ever.

This is much more R/G beats with an engine.  I vote yes, this is a separate thread.

To elaborate on this point, what matchups are strengthened by essentially dropping Careful Study, Deep Analysis, and additional draw power for Kird Apes and Rancors? Both of these latter cards are incredibly underpowered relative to the rest of the deck (once it's dedicated itself to being a Madness deck, that is). Rather than being as potent as Madness or as consistent as straight R/G beats, I fear that this proposed build is weaker than either of the more focused alternatives, as you are still vulnerable to nonbasic hate and still prone to Madness' inconsistency...especially with only 4 Wild Mongrels, 4 Bazaar of Baghdad, 1 LED and 1 Wheel of Fortune as discard outlets.\n\n
