You seem to have enough discard and graveyard hate to weather Dragon and friends. Do you find the Crypts necessary with 4 Wretches? Also, have you considered River Boa as a creature for the deck? I find that it absolutely hoses Control as well as surviving Deed.

The biggest problem I see here is that Pernicious Deed and Call of the Herd do not mix.  I would replace Call with River Boa if you face a lot of control, Baloth if face a lot of Red, or maybe Spiritmonger if you face a lot of random aggro.  All three of those creatures have great synergy with Deed.  Everything else looks great!

Words of advice for PT Funk, just play it like the Rock.

Hypnotic Specter is SLOW as hell in this format. He simply isn't the powerhouse he used to be, and thats the sad truth of the matter.

Play Riverboa, he was made for this deck. Use Manlands, Mishra's and Treetop Villages are some good with Deeds I hear.

Diabloic Edict is a horrible card in T1. Smother is significantly better if you want to MD Creature removal ... and I wouldn't anyway. You should have 4 Deed.

Tormod's Crypt? Dragon loves you for this. It makes his own Pernicious Deed 100% better. Use Coffin Purge, its just as good as Tormod's Crypt ... probably better, and it forces them to side in Xantid Swarms to stop it. Also consider running 1 Gaea's Blessing ... and ofcourse 4 Naturalize. You'll probably want to consider 4 Negators as well.

I like Tempting Wyrm in the right meta, check it out.

Frankly, the Suicide with Deeds plan doesn't work out as well as the Suicide with Bloodmoon plan ... which permits you to be much more aggressive. I suggest you try playing a mutated version of the Rock with significantly superior disruption in the form of Hymn and Sinkhole.

I'd just like to second what BreathWeapon said about Tempting Wurm.  If you see a lot of control/non-dragon combo and not much prison or aggro, he can be as good as Negator.

The Specter is just too slow thesedays; he is past his prime.

The format is just slowing down a bit, so I wouldn't damn hypie that much. Edict isn't that bad either. It helps a lot against masticores, juggernauts and especially dragons. Smother can't handle all these.

Smother isn't that good now because it can't stop a Dragon. Also, Specter really is that awful. Don't even bother with it. The environment hasn't been slow enough for his since before GAT got big.

Sorry, but this sounds more like a real personal feeling you mention. There are too many top-8-decklists around using hypie. For example look at last Duelmen results . You should have heard all the keeper-player blaming the nice little black one.

Well, you haven't listed your metagame at all, and this deck is highly dependant upon knowing your own local meta.  Hypnotics are just fine, except in the most high powered, combo filled local metagames.  The fact that you are using deeds and edicts MD leads me to believe that your meta could be kind of scrubbish.

I'm not sure about the Emerald.  You have 10 other cards that can get you green mana while providing black as well already.  Deeds kill your Emerald.  I could be wrong.

I like the number and type  of threats in Gaea's build.

It's hard to evaluate your sideboard without more information.

I don't get this deck, it's more like weak pt and weak black.  Yeah, where is the metagame?  I c more like you deed away your own mox and your own wretch thus lose your win condition. Vegeta's (very old, long time ago) BG void is probably better off for your green splash.
