There's a newer gaming store that recently opened in Milwaukee called Game Universe. Since the store really has no identity aside from FNM I was hoping to coordinate Type 1 five proxy tournaments once a month for $10-$15.

I'm just putting this message out there to see what kind of responce I get so if your in the Milwaukee area give a shout out if you would be interested in monthly Type 1, 5 proxy tourneys, I'm thinking Saturday morning or afternoon or Sunday morning.

Thanks

I had no idea!  Where?

I'm in Milwaukee, and I'd love to go.  5-proxy sounds great, as I currently have 4 pieces of power.  I can most likely bring a few others down, too.  Email me.

I know the Chicago Crew would be there for sure. Proxies doesn't matter to me but I do prefer Saturday.

I'm trying to get the store owner to buy a unlimited mox for the prize. I think Milwaukee/Chicago/Madison area is big enough to support a monthly mox tourney.

Anyway how many people would be in team Chicago your talking about rgbeatskeeper?

I'm definitely interested in this.  I think you and I talked about this yesterday at Game Universe, bedafile.

I used to play with the Chicago group at the Game Depot, but my schedule's been crazy as of late.  Last I knew, there were at least 5 dedicated Type I players, but that was in November, so I can't say.

I'm way interested in this. Lets get the 5-color people interested in T1!
Where is the address btw, or is this the store that oppenned up on hwy 100 and Layton?

edit:  Idiot me should research before he gets excited and posts.  The WOTC retail locater says the store is in Muskego instead of Greenfield (the owner might want to know that).  Neat, I've been meaing to take a trip there one of these days since I work almost right there.

Good news, the owner said he would get a unlimited mox as a prize as well as other prizes for 2rd and 3rd place and if the tournout is good we'll probably give a prize for top non-power, non-proxy deck (probably Italian Mana Drain), the tournament should be about a month away so I'll put a post up in the tournament report as soon as we get a date establised, any other questions please reply or pm me.

Hey,

I live in whitewater, that would be really if there was a monthly tourny in Mil. area.  Yes, i finally get to go to a vintage tourny, yeah for me, and everyone else who attends.

team 13 will be planning on attending...

team 13.

current member: me   Very Happy

Yeah i have NO power, but i can see what i can do with some of my pals to get what i need.

Hmm... Goody for me.  I have played in Type 1 tournaments before, but they suck around grafton. NOBODY owns or has ever owned power (besides a friend of mine and me... but i sold my ruby  Sad )  So yeah.... A place to go for real vintage... with a real prize.

you can count on me.. (hopefully).

If i remember to ask of work... that is  =)

I'll be there, hopefully with some other Type 1 players.  I'll have my giant binder of commons and uncommons too, so if any of ya'll need anything, feel free to take a look.  I'll probably be there early, before the store opens.
