Balance / Sacred Ground

Could someone please clarify some Balance interactions:

1. What happens, when my friend plays a Balance (3 lands) while I have 5 lands but Sacred Ground in play.

2. Same question for Balancing Act/ Sacred Ground.( probably the same)

3. What happens when my friend plays Balance and I have Karmic Justice in play. Can I destroy 2 permanents of him ? ( assuming the situation above)

Sacrificing lands to an effect controlled by an opponent triggers Sacred Ground, so you keep the land.

3. What happens when my friend plays Balance and I have Karmic Justice in play. Can I destroy 2 permanents of him ? ( assuming the situation above)

Balance and Balancing Act don't "destroy" anything, they just instruct you to sacrifice. Therefore, no Karmic Justice.

Text (8th): Whenever a spell or ability an opponent controls causes a land to be put into your graveyard from play, return that land to play.

Karmic Justice

Color= White  Type= Enchantment  Cost= 2W OD(R)  
Text (OD): Whenever a spell or ability an opponent controls destroys a noncreature permanent you control, you may destroy target permanent that opponent controls.

A spell or ability that asks for a sacrifice will not trigger this card.
