I've been looking around at a lot of the slavery decks that are out there, including mine, and almost every single one of the creature bases are different. In control slavery, it is usually 4 welder, 1 pent, 1 p. angel. In workshop.dec slavery, its usually 4 welder, 1 pent, 1 karn. workshop.dec sometimes doesnt have karn, sometimes has trisk, or sometimes has both. I currently run:

4 Welder
1 Pent
1 Trisk
1 Karn

Karn has been.... eh.... iffy. He's good when you have multiple gilded lotuses out, but thats really it. I've been thinking of cutting it, but I don't know for what. Maybe platinum angel? It seems like platinum angel can easily win many games that shouldnt be won, or that can give you a hard time. I.E. the Big-o, dragon (not really a problem, it just wins against it though), aggro that slaver cant hit at all (sligh, sui, etc), and many more. Trisk, in my meta, is amazing. It kills welders, sligh, sui, decree tokens, and random other thing that are annoying. I suggest everyone test it for themselves and see what they think about it

Does anyone else have comments on this topic? Or testing/personal results from different creature bases? If you do, please explain WHY you use what you use, not just what you use

What do you guys you as a SB also? Mine is constantly changing, and when i get home i'll post mine and the reasons why, but until i do, what is yours and why?

We at GM's have cut Karn for another Trike a while ago.

In theory you can animate your gilded lotus and other random stuff, but in reality Gilded lotus is nevery ever  untapped to be used as an attacking creature.

I like the performance of a second triskellion in its ability to kill stupid hosers like enemy welders, or to kill random stuff like gorilla shamans, and alll the other random stuff you stated.

Platinum Angel is a must in the deck for its ability to well... just plain win.  Not that you should worry about dragon, but all you need is to resolve a welder and you won the first game.  Its also great in so many other situations.  Try to find a way to include:

1 Platinum Angel
1 Pentavus
2 Triskellion

That seems to be the magic formula.

You still have to be careful though. Since some builds run P. Deed main which can be blown up for a million with their combo, and also the fact that they can still draw the game if both graveyards are creatureless (at least that is what I believe since you are not losing and them not winning. Please correct me if I am wrong!).

Yes you are correct, but having angel in play forces them to remove it or draw the game, which expands the time frame from them winning first or second turn to much later in the gamew, giving you a chance to get off mindslaver and/or recursion, or winning with other threats, or assuming control of the game.

I thought one of Karn's better uses in workshop slavery was to blow up a chalice that was set at a number that you didn't want anymore . For example,  you might set it at 1 early on vs. say an aggro deck, but later will want to cast your welders. It's probably not a situation that comes up often enough, though.

@The M.E.T.H.O.D:
You are totaly correct I was just pointing out that you have to stay sharp!
I also realised that in order to draw the game they will have to use around 6 animate spells (3 welders, 1 pentavus, 1 trisk)!!
So the game ending in a draw isnt very likely Very Happy my bad.

Actually, they only need two animate spells. One for dragon, and a necromancy to animate all of your creatures, one at a time.

@ Zero
You can get rid of Chalices with Welders, or, for chalices at one, you can use your cunning wishes if you really have to. Karn is unnecessary.

Right, I totally forgot that workshop slavery also added cunning wishes, I must have been thinking about the original decklist.
