Okay, so here i gain myself 4 sinkholes off winning a tournament. I already have 4 rishadan ports, so here i think..... Land destruction, black style...
my field is MOSTLY unpowered (3 out of 20 playing with power) not many people understand what a counterspell is
so here im thinking, Hm.... trinishpere maybe?
the LD
4 sinkhole 4 rain of tears 4 icequake (they're cooler than rancid) 2 rancid earth
hand disruption
1 mind twist 4 duress 4 hymn to tourach
other fun
4 dark ritual 1 viscera the dreadful 1 thrashing wumpus 2 null rod 1 yawgs bargain 1 yawgs will 1 lotus petal 1 mox diamond 3 trinishpere
the mana/land fun
3 wasteland 1 stripmine 4 rishadan port (it's house in LD) 4 bloodstained mire 4 polluted delta 8 swamp
what would make this better (besides a jet)?
--------------
okay... i have playtested several times, against some top decks in the area (including 1 fully powered Dragon.dec) my findings: Land destruction RAPES Bazaar
and yeah, trinishpere just makes people cry.
rishadan port is just house. when yo stall (don't draw LD) you can just simply tap their land with port.
Wumpus is a living pestalance... great against goblins/elves/zombies/anythingsmall
viscera is a beatstick
the deck has lost ONE game out of 19, because of a sideboarded sacred ground....

This list probably should have been posted in the newbie forum. In order to post in this forum, you need to meet certain standards (some evidence of testing for example). Here's some helpful tips: General Posting Guidelines:
* Writing decklists: Group them logically, for example first mana sources, then removal etc.
* Write first letter of card names in capitals. Try to evade the use of abbreviations and nicknames for cards because this forum is also for newbies
* Choose an appropriate topic title that decribes the context of the thread very well. "I have a question" is too fuzzy.
* Generally, the more info you give on your deck or problem, the better the replies.
Some things to consider when posting lists like this: -Explain why you chose some of the cards you chose -Why you think that this deck is competitive (or at least a good idea) -etc. Anyways, here are my two cents, this looks like a Sui Black deck that is trying for a more controllish route. You've already got most of the cards for Sui Black so my suggestion would be to switch to it. Two win conditions isn't a very large number. You have the LD, but why does that stop anybody? Superfast aggro only needs 1-2 lands, Combo is much too fast for you to do anything about it, Bluebased control can deal with most of your spells.

Some quick thoughts. Are two creatures going to be enough? So what if you kill all their lands? You need to lay a threat early to go along with the Land/Hand kill. Having only two creatures alows them to regain prescious time while you are looking for a kill.

Mana denial is a hard strategy to run, it's appealing but in the end is usually a losing effort. I ran an ld deck that went quite nicely in casual play, i think it won 20 straight, took it to a tourney and got done in. It all depends how weak your meta is, the weaker the meta. the greater the dependance on the land drop, you might be ok where you are but take something else to gen con. good luck defector

I think you should just play suicide black. it's alot more versatile than just mono black LD, and I bet you'd like sui.
Sui is all about early mana and hand disruption followed up by creature beatdown. A true LD deck wouldn't run hand disruption, it would run pure mana denial.
That's why Im suggesting sui black for you.
There's a good sui black primer in the primer section so I won't try to talk to much.

What literally will happen is that you'll kill the first two or three lands, then they will either resolve a cheap drawer to draw more lands than you have destruction for or keep bashing you with the cheap threat that got played for the one-land's worth of mana (Goblins will absolutely destroy you with Lackey, as it will itself nullify absolutely everything you do).
I'd cut the bad stuff (Icequake, Rain of Tears, Rancid Earth, Mind Twist [bad in this deck - it's an overcosted Hymn], Visara the Dreadful, Thrashing Wumpus, Trinisphere, Yawgmoth's Bargain, Mox Diamond, fetchlands) and add in good Nether Void or Chalice Black cards (Chalice of the Void/Nether Void, Nantuko Shade, Withered Wretch, Phyrexian Negator). That will turn your original list into something that will be slightly more than a cute fun deck.

The first thing I noticed was having only 3 Wastelands. Perhaps that was an oversight, a typing error, you don't own the card, or you don't find many non-basic lands in your area. But, I think that you should put a 4th Wasteland in the deck anyhow.
Also, as has been mentioned already, I'd seriously consider trying to convert it a bit closer to Sui Black (look at Legend's primer). Upping the creature count and lowering the land destruction cards would be the first step. I ran land destruction many years ago and currently run a sui black deck. I vastly prefer the latter.

hmmm the kill could use some revamping but i like the LD...
im too poor to afford nethervoids for 60 bucks a piece... im currently saving up for 2 italian ones
Negator, didn't even think of him.
and yeah, small stuff would rape me. im gunna run a couple infests mainboard instead of the mind twist and other hand disruption
i realize that i need more defense against smaller stuff (goblins, elves).... so im gunna run 4 wethered wretch and a couple abyssal gatekeepers.
and i already played/own a suicide black deck. i just LOVE playing LD... magic to me is more about playing something you enjoy then playing something jsut because it can win....

I think this deck can be played with some success. Look at monogreen LD. I guy in my play group plays MonoGreen LD in a couple type tournaments here and has mostly manage to make top 4 spots very often. Maybe monogreen might be a very different deck compared to a mono black LD but i believe that it could work well.
Now about the creatures. I am not really sure about Visara. She might be good and all but I would very much prefer Nantuko Shade instead. The Shade is very good because you can pump him up as much as you want when you have decimated the opponents mana sources.

Demonic Hordes is a pretty good win condition for a mana denial deck, since it can continue to knock out lands in case they start to recover. Of course, it lacks the nice removal ability of Visara, but if you're worried about creatures in the way I think you'll need something faster than Visara anyway, but it looks like you're starting to take care of that. Anyway, hordes are there to think about if you still wanna include a phattie.
Mono green LD is probaby the best LD deck in a fast format like vintage, even though it lacks the fastest LD spell sinkhole. It typically runs 8 mana elves so it can power out winter's grasp etc. on turn 2, effectively doing the same as a sink. Some also run birds to insure they get 3 mana by turn 2, some don't, birds can be overkill, but 8 elves sometimes isn't enough. It also has highly synergist creatures for the kill like argothian wurm and terravore. Terravore is absolutely awesome in LD and is 3x better with fetchlands in your deck (and all the fetches in the environment). Green also has room to MD utility and can even afford to run a living wish or 2 for some SB versatility. Just some suggestions, if you're going to go the strict LD route I think mono green is the way to go.

For the powered matchups it is imperative that you play all 4 null rods(at least in game 2). 1 rod shuts down around 1/3 of their mana sources.
Secondly Nantuko Shade is kind of like creature removal on his own because he can get so Fing big.
Phyrexian Negator is awesome, just watch out for burn. If you wind up using chalices in your deck you can set them to 1 (stops; bolt, chain lightning and weeny men) to send your negator trundling into the red zone without getting zapped.
Smothers or contagions are gread creature removal. Contagion makes goblins cry, and smothers work vs. other decks...like tog.
Chains of Mephistopheles negate decks that can draw cards so you may want to try to acquire those as well.
The more specifically you can break down your meta the better we will be able to help you tailor your deck to your tournament.
[EDIT] No abyssal gate keepers, both people have to sac a creature. Run edict instead if you want that functionality [EDIT]

It's also possible to run Sphere of Resistance instead of the Nether Void...just be sure to run 4. This effect isn't shut down by the Null Rod, if you choose to run them.
Defense Grid might be a sideboard option as well.
I also love the Shade more than Visara. Under the Nether Void/Sphere, it's much easier to cast, but once in play, it can be pumped...huge.

Here's my 2 cents. You want to abuse 3sphere. Run 4 of them. If you can keep them at 2 or 3 lands, they're not going to do anything all game. To do this I'd go R/B. I'd go with seismic mage from Masques. He's a stone rain spell shaper. Destroying basic lands is going to be the toughest thing to do. To destroy non basics i'd go with dust bowl/dwarven blastminer.
Going Red allows for more controlish cards like pyroclasm which will probably rock in your meta.
Good luck with this deck, it seems like it will be funny when it works.
