The decklist so far is:

LD:
4 Sinkhole
4 Icequake
4 Rancid Earth
4 Befoul

Creatures:
4 Spiritmonger (or maybe 3 and 1 Demonic Hordes)

Removal/Control:
3 Pernicious Deed
3 Trinisphere
1 Mutilate
1 Haunting Echoes

Mana/Draw:
4 Dark Ritual
2 Promise of Power

Broken:
1 Sol Ring
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Yawgmoth's Will

Land:
1 Strip Mine
4 Wasteland
4 Bayou
4 Tainted Wood
9 Swamp

I think my hardest matchup is going to be insanely fast weenie decks so I am looking at a sideboard that can put the hurtin on them.  Some more mutilate and perish etc...

So my question is how can I make this deck better?  In my current environment it seems to do pretty good but does have a problem with super-fast goblin decks.  Is there anything I am missing or forgetting?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think that Promise of Power is a solid card drawer (please correct me if I'm wrong).  It seems to me that the casting cost is prohibitive.  Perhaps you'd do better with Necropotence or Phyrexian Arena...

Do four (six with Promise of Power) creatures feel like enough threats to you?  It seems slim to me.

I like Demonic Consultation better than Vampiric Tutor.  You get the card in your hand now, not next draw.  That's my thought.

Other than that... I don't really know.  Hope that helps give you some insight.

The current decks I play against are very pretty creature/burn heavy so I worry about Necro because I can't draw if I am low on life.

As far as threats go, I figure to be able to kill most people with Spiritmoger or hopefully neuter and deck them with Haunting Echoes.

The way I see it,  LD still suffers has the same problems it did a few years ago.  It has gotten better but the main problems as I see them are spot removal and kill condition.  I am really interested in hearing a variety of opinions that could help me better this deck and appreciate yours.

Since you are putting in green for Spiritmonger and Deed, why not put in Terravore from the Odyssey set ??

I had thought about that.  The problem is trying to squeeze everything in and yet have enough removal to keep the other player semi locked.  If anyone can think of anyway to cut some things for more threats then I am all for it.  Right now its like walking the razor's edge of balance.  One card this way or that could make a huge difference.

I can't dark ritual and play it.

I am just splashing green.  I don't want to run a lot of green in the deck.  Just enough to deed and spiritmonger effectively.  Although I am thinking about adding drop of honey to the sideboard.
