I looked at Xantid Swarm and got this idea:

~Name~
Creature-~type~
0/1
When attacks and isn't blocked, defending player sacrifices a permanent.

hoses control and all kind of other decks without attack-phases...

Once more with feeling...

Dismantling Swarm
Creature-Insect
1GR
0/1
When attacks and isn't blocked, defending player sacrifices a permanent.

edit 1: Added mana-cost
edit 2: Added Name

That looks fine as long as the CC is more than 1. Three is probably the right number. Otherwise, it would be too  good of an early drop.

I know this won't happen in a tournament, but if my opponent has Chaos Orb in his hand while I'm controlling his turn from a Mindslaver, who flips the card if I force him to play it and activate it?

This is actually a softlock, since one way or another, decks are going to try and power it out turn1. I don't think I like it very much.

edit: oh wait, it doesn't fly. CC of 3 is fine then.

How about 1GR ?

Hmm, so I actually forgot the flying-part, whatever, it looks ugly anyways...

Morefling, it's not really a softlock, it's easy to get past by, by well, just playing creatures and blocking it...

But than again, in T1 nobody plays creatures, but in T2 it's unbroken as hell...

24 hours are ticking...

named it xantid destroyer, just because...

Does anybody else feel like giving this a single color and making it a cycle with Rudy's stealer and the original??

With both of the Xantid ideas, in fact, I have a concern. Are Xantids the insects, so that 'Xantid Swam' is a swam of Xantids, or is it a location? If it's a location, then these are okay. If it's the insects, then it's kind of silly to name things 'Xantid' anything, unless you want to imply different functions these insects have evolved. Personally, I'm against using the 'Xantid' name.

Xantid does not appear to be a word - but 'xanthid' is the name of certain types of crabs.

Isn't permanent sacrificing a Black ability, or did I miss another change to the color wheel?

Generic permanent sacrificing is a red ability, as per Misguded Rage:

Misguided Rage
{2}{R}
Sorcery

Target player sacrifices a permanent.

Black forces the sacrifice of creatures

Saccing permanents is such a black ability!  Greater Harvester, Death Cloud, Pox, to name some of the newer ones.

I will give you Red in here, although I was provided with only one card, but why is Green in here.

Yeah, but this should have a different name, and it shouldn't be green.

Cards with names like "Something Destroyer" are so cliche.  The function is okay though.

Perhaps the name can be "Dismantling Swarm"?

If anything, this should be {1}{R}{R}.  Green shouldn't be in there at all bcuz red has insects and this ability belongs in red (moreso in black, but red is ok).

Well, insects are green, but the ability isn't. This really shouldn't be either an insect or a green card.

I don't see a problem with red insects ([card]Lithophage[/card], [card]Shocker[/card]).

Well, I think 1GR is fine, really.

Ice Storm, Plow Under, Winter's Grasp, all kinds of artifact and enchantment destruction. I think green can destroy things in a mild and underpowered way. And 0/1 flying is underpowered enough.

I think that 1GR is ideal for a locust swarm like this (name already taken in mirage). It's primal nature mingled with primal destruction. Green Red, that is.

Besides, it kinda looks like Decimate (in a real sick and twisted way) and that was Greenred...

I see no reason to make it mono-red as red has no ways of destroying enchantments...

Same reason why I don't feel this is black...

Red can't destroy enchantments outright, but as I mentioned earlier, this card's ability perfectly mimics the mono-red Misguided Rage. I'm not saying that this should be mono-red, only that your argument against red not having enchantment destruction is fallacious. Personally, I like the card at {1}{G}{R}.

{1}{B}{R}:  YES
{1}{R}{R}:  OK
{1}{G}{R}:  NO

green doesn't do "sac a permanent" things.  Black and Red have insects, and they do it.

Green did sac a permanent with Nature's Wrath. And it has desert twister and tornado.

And this is primal nature and primal destruction, so it is GR.

I'm starting to repeat myself, here.
