Spellslaver {3}{U}{U}
Instant
You may remove a artifact card in your hand instead of paying Spellslaver's casting cost.
Take control of target instant or sorcery spell. You make all decisions the card call for. Play Spellslaver only before the spell resolve.
Created together with Mindslaver, the Spellshaper were the Vedalken's only way of changing fate.

I know the wording is plain bad, I would apreciate some help here. The thing about the spell resolving, I don't know, is there rules that explain this process better then I understand it? The card is like an improved Misdirection, except it can also "steal" cards like Deep Analysis. I like this card.

Current version:
Spellslaver {4}{U}{U}
Instant
You may remove a artifact card in your hand and pay {2} instead of paying Spellslaver's casting cost.
Counter target spell; then put a copy of that spell on the stack. You make all decisions for the new spell.
Created together with the Mindslaver, the Spellshaper were the Vedalken's only way of changing fate.

Changes: Correct wording. [Thanks to Frappie!]

That's way too good. The spell itself is much much stronger than misdirection and the ACC isn't much more than misdirections. I think it needs to either cost 4UU and have a worse ACC, or keep the 3UU cost but have a *much* worse ACC.

A little question: If you get a X-spell with this, will you pay for the X or do you just use the X as paid by the spell's owner?

Brendan has hit a rather important point - this is a Spelljack for instants and sorceries, and Spelljack costs 4UU with no AMC (alternate mana cost).  I would say 4UU for the cost and tag a mana cost on the AMC.

Note as well that your current version can be used by any deck since it requires only an artifact.  It is not too fun to get your spell spellslavered by some random WW deck (removing the Skullclamp in his/her hand), right?

I see your point. I weakened the card. But then again, many deck doesnt run much more artifacts then the mana ones.

Rules-wise, this card doesn't work. Spelljack is pretty much the only way to give you control of a spell if you want the targets changed, etc.

I don't see why the "control the spell" part doesn't work - it seems to just change the definitions of "you" and "opponent". Basically, if you cast this on an Accumulated Knowledge, you would get to draw cards, not whoever cast the AK. It's the "make decisions" part that gums up the works - you'd have to include a bunch of language about changing modes and targets and such.

it should be worded as this

Counter target spell; then put a copy of that spell on the stack. You make all decisions for the new spell.
