Back in 1994, in between Legends and The Dark, Marauder Graphics run by Fred "Rich" Ditzler came out with a set of stickers called "Middle Ages" that you could put on your MTG cards.  They had 5 colors and a similar set up, minus fundamental differences (Card name in the middle, card type up top, and the mana symbols were different).  Soon after, WOTC slapped the guy with a cease and desist order (or something along those lines) and it was no longer legal to sell these.  Any idea on what packs of these stickers are worth?  Or what MTG cards with the stickers on them are worth?  Thanks

Worth a hell of a lot to collectors is the answer! I don't have exact figures, but they are pretty damned rare, and so they bring in a bit of cash. Sorry I don't have more information!

I know Samite Healer has some of these, and I'm sure he'd be interested in picking up some more, if you're looking to sell. They're definitely collector-only items.

Does anyone have any figures?  Exact figures or approximations will do.

This thread got my attention and I started digging around.  Here's a little piece from mtg news about these things:

http://www.mtgnews.com/F/Topic/1078455686053__Rare__Middle_Ages_Expansion_on_eBay.html

Edit:  Here is a description of Middle ages from an auction summary on ebay...

"Middle Ages is a set of 75 Magic card stickers created in summer 1994 by Marauder Graphics run by Fred "Rich" Ditzler. The stickers were designed to be stuck on the frontside of real Magic cards. The print run consisted of 1,000 sheets, for a total of 90,000 stickers. They were distributed in booster boxes of 30 booster packs which contained 8 random cards, mostly to stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.Wizards of the Coast issued a Cease and desist order and the cards were pulled. These are very rare items to find and would make a great addition to any Magic the gather collection.

The stickers were printed on two sheets: an uncommon sheet and a common sheet, each holding 45 images. Additionally, some cards appeared more than once which allowed a variety of rarities, with "U1" (a card printed once on the uncommon sheet) being the rarest and "C3" (a card printed three times on the common sheet) being the most common. The card distribution was further altered manually during packaging by removing some cards, thereby creating what Mr. Ditzler called "ungodly rares". Exactly which cards were affected in this manner is unknown. A complete list of rarities can be seen here:"

Thanks for posting the link to the current ebay auctions.  Smile
I have now bid on ALL of them, and if any of you guys outbid me, you get stabbed!!! J/K

Like any misprint/rarity, there is no "set" value so to speak.  They are essentially only worth what people are willing to pay.  I picked up a good chunk of these at around $5 a piece at GenCon two years ago; however, I wouldn't let them go for $20 a piece.  Lots of collectors are like this, in that their rarities mean a lot to them.

So, if anyone finds any WEIRD, or RARE cards, send me a PM!
