Ok here it goes,

I was lucky to have received my cards on wednesday just in time for the T1 tourney. Fortunately, all my cards were intact, my folks saw to that. My card tin looked like it was wrapped to withstand a nuclear explosion, but I was quite happy since my cherished cards were protected.

Round 1 - played Chris - modified ankh sligh format
lost 0-2
Game 1: I got a rotten hand, had to mull down to 6, then to 5, arghh no bazaar either; I felt like Tiny Tim. He dropped a jackal pup and a mog fanatic, and began to send over the beats. After 2 turns of that punishment, I managed to cast a ghoul. I used to to block a fanatic, sending it to the graveyard.   He casted another pup and a goblin cadet. The next turn I cast animate dead on the fanatic, his face was wrought with dissolution. I used the fanatic to block a jackal, and then sac to take down another jackal. He bolted me plenty of times and grenaded me. game over

Game 2: Mulled down to 6 cards again, this time a little better hand but still no bazaar, hit or miss. 3 turns later, I draw a bazaar, but it does me little good, the same bad situations re-occur as last game. game over.

After round 1, I had to pick up my roomate, I told them that they could give me the bye if they wanted to. I happen to make it back in time (a game was still in session) but despite this, they still gave me the bye.

Round 3 - played unknown name -  G/R jank
won 2-0
Game 1: Despite not drawing a bazaar in my first hand, I had a vampiric tutor to make up the difference. I immediately cast it to get my special land. By turn 3, he had 3 forests, a wild growth on one, and a llanowar elf. I began to get my annoying ghouls on the board and then dropped a recurring nightmare. I used it twice the next turn to get a spirit of the night and a petradon into play. Game over

Game 2: I didn't feel like Tiny Tim anymore. Got a  bazaar, ghoul and shadow into play immediately, then I tutored for a recurring nightmare. Next turn I got out the recurring nightmare/symbiotic wurm combo, really crappy to deal with. He tried to lava blister my bazaar, but I took 6 to the face. Game over.

Round 4 - played unknown (damnit I can't remember) - power artifact/monolith combo
lost 0-2
Game 1: I was Tiny Tim again. A filthy hand to start off with, my opponent dropped a monolith and a volcanic island. I was decimated by the infinite mana/magma mine combo. Game over.

Game 2: I attempted to duress him, he forced it, discarding a mana drain. I topped another duress and knocked out a mystical tutor. He managed to topdeck a power artifact and comboed me again.

Not playing my reanimator deck for nearly 4 weeks was hurtful; losing touch with the dynamics of my deck. Maybe next week will be a better draws. Greets to the hardcore players at C&J's.

Clint - Good to see you playing and posting. C&J's is not the same without you. Who's going to steal rating points from the big boys now? Wink

I will Raz (;.

Good job Clint, glad to see you playing a non sinbad deck. How many discard engines do you run? It seems that relying primarily on Bazaar is a bad idea in my opinion. I didnt read you using any other engines besides afor mentioned land. Pm me your list and lets see if we can come up with something a bit better for your metagame.

C&J defin is not the same without you sir. I hope you get to come back during the summer as you mentioned before you left.

Cornbread, over and out.

I concur with Raziel and 'Cornbread, C&J's is not the same without you... Who can fill the void left by the departure of D. Jugg? Who else has the clairvoyance to create Drunk Talk and Whore Haven?

See you in the summer...

Yes,  "Ernest. dec"

We must not let this tech be revealed on these boards. It would re-define the format, lead to new restrictions and bannings. I propose we keep this under wraps until Gen con.
