Nobody is really sure. Their is a ton of power in the VA/DC area, and with the influx of people for a big event like the GP you can pretty much expect all the big decks.

The metagame is dependent on the 5-proxy rule. What this means is that players will most likely be playing decks that can take advantage of five proxies (Fish, Landstill, Oshawa Stompy, Dragon) and not so many people playing things requiring 9+ proxies such as Tog, Draw7, Slaver, Stax and such. There will probably be a lot of random aggro (although the entry fee should keep a lot of it out!) and LOTS of suicide black.
I'd pack a deck that is resilient enough to deal with waves of scrub decks as well as something with enough power to tangle with the big boys. Best bets are probably Fish and Landstill.
Good luck!

People in that area own cards because they don't listen when people bitch about not owning stuff.
Expect real decks and real players.

Best bets are probably Fish and Landstill. He wasn't asking for Budget decks, if im not mistaken. While these decks may be good to play, I'm astounded why you didnt mention any accepted Tier 1 decks (Tog, Slavers). Although these metagame threads are usually shit, I'll give it a chance. Just build your deck for a general good type one metagame, and I'm sure that this won't be too far off from it.

Ah, sorry for assuming you'd be playing budget. You didn't mention anything about it so I assumed the worst! Listen to the people actually from the area who are posting here, I was adding what is generally true about 5-proxy metagames.
In an unknown metagame, Hulk is most definitely the best bet to use, due to its strengths against everything. If you're up to it, try Slaver as Kerz said. It certainly is fun to play!

right now i have a fully powered(four proxy) GAT but could easly convert it to Hulk so i will probubly run hulk is it better to run the generic sb or is it worth running some anti-aggro cards like propoganda or more creature removal (smother etc) and it is worth running the duress and strip effects basically i am asking is it worth changing the deck to be more anti-aggro

Hulk has an excellent match up against aggro as is. I would likely just net deck JP's build. Don't weaken the sideboard or main deck for aggro which is a good match up at the expense of your tougher ones.

I think Bebe is right cause there's not much workshops in that area(at least to my knowledge) except Slaver.

Just be ready to take on Hulksmash, Oshawa, and Slaver. Then just SB for a general meta game. I suspect that in a nearly wide open tourny (beause of the number of people) the meta will be rather varied. In that case, just prepare against the best decks and your worst matchups.

I've played at dreamwizards in mariland before and i see a lot of fish decks winning. mostly its hulk too but i think hulk is the best deck. i think i will play fish or hulk at the gpdc because hulk is so good and because fish is so cheap.
I think only one person in the area owns workshops at all, and there were like 30 people at the last dreamwizard tournament and i only saw one trinistax deck at the last tournament and no tnt or other artifact decks. mostly mariland and dc is non-artifact but slaver came out so maybe one will show up. probably the guy who played trinistax before.
The best deck to play is probably hulk. Plus dr sylvan says it has the best winning record of any deck so you cant argue with numbers.

I've played at dreamwizards in mariland before and i see a lot of fish decks winning. Well, PTW does have the jedi mind-lock on Dream Wizards' T1 events so it's not really suprising, all things considered. And yea, I hope to see you all Sunday!
