82 people. Don't yet have full stats on the metagame, but it was well diversified.
top 8 1 7/10 split 3 Hulk 2 Gay/r 1 b/u/g dragon 1 Landstill/oath 7/10 vs gay/r -----------> 7/10 hulk vs hulk ------------>hulk gay/r vs landstill/oath--->gay/r hulk vs b/u/g dragon----->dragon
top 4 7/10 <-----------(triple_s ran this to a solid finish, look for his report for the decklist, the design is credited to team shortbus) hulk gay/r dragon
7/10 vs hulk-------->hulk gay/r vs dragon---->gay/r
finals gay/r vs hulk------->gay/r
PTW is the win!!! Got a sexy new lotus and bad ass trophy enscribed with the words "2004 mid-east coast vintage champion". So hot!!
IT'S A CELEBRATION BITCHES!!

Go Team Short Bus!!!
Excellent results fellas. I know the testing really paid off. I can't wait to see Triple_S's report...what's up w/ 7-10 losing to Hulk in the semis? 7-10 owns Hulk!
Anyway, very well done. Look for more solid Short Bus finishes this summer at a Gencon near you!

7-10 owns Hulk! Especially the ultra-crappy netdeck versions on TMD right now. But, unfortunately, shit happens. Awesome job guys, and congratulations to both of you!

That was the 3rd Hulk matchup that day...and I really drew nothing of not really in the games. His version was the more controlling version with the mana denial element (wastes, strip etc) so he kept my land count down in the early game. Decklist etc forthcoming

It wasn't Hulk it was Tog. The guy is mostly a T2/1.x player so he had a more controlling version with full wastes and MD Deed. In fact he won the majority of his games by just screwing the opponents mana and then running them over with Tog.

Congrats on winning the prize, yo. I'm still waiting to hear back from starcity games for decklists, metagame breakdown, the picture they took of me holding the trophy, etc. However, I can provide you with my decklist right now (and Triple_S already has his 7/10 decklist up in another thread). Congrats to PTW and SSS on your performances... and to Short Bus for a nice deck that's clearly strong enough to succeed.
I had a great time hanging out with TSB and I can't wait until GenCon!
Bitch, come over here and have sex with Charlie Murphy!
