the Central Coast Type I Championships will now allow 7 proxies on 12 June 2004, 2:30pm in Raleigh NC. Our current prize pool is: Champion: Unlimited Black Lotus or $400.00 Runner-Up: Unlimited Mox of CHOICE or $200.00 third: Library of Alexandria or $75.00 4th: Juzamm Djinn, signed by or $50.00 5th: Itallian Mana Drain 6th to 8th: Spilt a box of 5th Dawn Now I will give cash in place as well for 4th place up. These are new developments and more to come. We are trying to make 5th to 8th one of each Dual (10 each) and 9 to 12 split a box. This will be one of the largest payouts around. There is an attendeance minimum, but I foresee the worst case scenerio a Mox of choice for first. If I get more than required I will throw an entire set of P9 up for grabs (to the top 8) as well as prizes down to as far as 24th. It is $25 a head, or $20 if you Pre-Reg as www.CCGPrime.netIf we recieve enough interest we will even offer Byes through mini trials that morning to help raise a little more money to increase the prizes (no more than 2 byes to 2 players). This may seem cheesy but this is not being put on by a store, in fact this is my personnel stash of cards and based on the numbers needed I will not make any money and will actually not be able to replace the cards at current prices without taking a hit. But if you want to start a scene then one has to put your money where your mouth is. I have been a judge for 5 years and a TO for as long with over 300 events under my belt as a TO alone, sanc and unsanc. I have the experiance and have head judged trials, state events and more. So rest assured this will be a well run event. I will be running it at REL 3. So come on out and play, for others runthem in your area and make it fun. -------------------- Dan R. 1/1 Judge Token www.CCGPrime.net

I'm going to have to see if I can make this one. If any of you folks plan to come down the I-81 corridor with a free spot, let me know.

I like how everyone, and I mean everyone tags on "Championship" to their tourneys. In my opinion, it just gets really lame. Anyways, some guys from around here might make the car trip... its not insanely long, but probably a good 10 hours.

If there's a region preceding it, putting Championship on the end is no biggie.

Someone needs to email him to change his time. 3:30 PM is not an appropriate time to start a massive tournament.

From what i gather he is hoping to get people dropping out of the main event to help boost attendence in the type 1 event.

Early results have a top 8 like this:
3 x 7/10 2 x Gay/r 2 x Tog 1 x Stax
They were in the semi's last time I got a call. PTW (w/ Gay/r) vs Tog and Gay/r vs ? in the other semi.

I haven't heard from the crew yet but w/ 6 rounds of swiss I'm thinking in excess of 60...hopefully more concrete news on another TSB victory soon. I do know 3 members made t8.

PTW is the win.
Team Short Bus has unified the central and east coast championship titles.
PTW took Andy stok's, Hi-Val's and Smmenen's heads in his conquest.
Top 8 was: x2 Gay/r x3 7/10 x3 Hulk
Short Bus had 3 members in top 8. Meandeck had 1 member in top 8.
The Short Bus is UNSTOPPABLE!

Top 8 was: x2 Gay/r x3 7/10 x3 Hulk Y'all realize no T8 in Type One, like, ever, has had just three archetypes in it. (Lowest I've got on record is a lone four-archetype T8 back in November.) This is an impressive first. Congrats on the win Marc!

Congrats Marc! Last night I was talking to TripleS on IRC, and something like the following was said... "the t8 was 3 hulks, 3 7/10, an 2 gay/r" "ah. so who's Marc playing against?" "hulk in the semis." "so what you're telling me is that Marc is in the finals, huh?" Your victory came as no surprise.
