Entwine Bolt

Choose one -- ~This~ deals 3 damage to target creature; or ~this~ deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
Entwine R (Choose both if you pay the entwine cost)
For 1R you get a worse Volcanic Hammer, or an overcosted, sorcery speed Shock. However, combining the two is quite powerful.
I feel that this would be a strong card in any limited format, as long as Red was reasonably playable. 2-for-1'ing creatures, or removing an x/5 creature for 1RR is quite good, so I've decreased the power accordingly. Also, it's not crazy splashable and takes a main-phase in the early game.
What rarity does this feel like to you people?
p.s. It needs a name.

But it is a 5 dmg dealt at all, 2 and 3. But it is sorcery. Very fair, I like it.

I think the entwine needs to be more like 1R. The more I think about it, the more I think you're right. I was looking through the current cardpool (as I often do) and came across Jagged Lightning. I'm sorry to say that I didn't know about this card, which is pretty weird (although I didn't play much during Urza block.) They're far from the same, but by comparing the power levels of the two cards, you can see that I undercosted mine. However, 2RR seems quite fair. |

Choice of Gods sounds way too powerful. That's more of a White name, imo. Right now, I'm going with Scattered Blast, but I'm gonna give it a little more time anyways.
