Aegis's Blessing

Target creature gets +1/+3 and first strike until end of turn.  Put a link counter on that creature.
As long as <this> is in your graveyard, creatures you control with link counters get +0/+1.
Faith strengthens the body against harms, and the mind against despair.

Current version:

Faith strengthens the body against harms, and the mind against despair.

EDIT - Increases the mana cost by 1 and extend the toughness benefit.
EDIT - Reduxed the card as per Necrologia's suggestion.

This seems rather messy with the tokens and everything, especially since the bonus is so meager.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. I like the 2 mana for the +1/+4 and first strike, what I was against was using a counter for +0/+1.

I don't know how much better this looks but what about:

{W}{W}
Instant
Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. That creature gets +0/+2 and first strike until end of turn.

Sort of like Battlegrowth, but better because of the double color in the casting cost, and the fact that battlegrowth wasn't even all that good in limited.
