This tourney is in a little less than a week.
Anyone still coming?
Oh, and as a note, we will need like 25-30 people to keep this prize structure. Just lettin' you know.
Thanks.

That REALLY sucks. I think most non-locals will be forced to go to Hadley now, where the prizes are guarenteed. I'm sorry. I hope you get enough though, nothing makes me more mad than someone blatantly sceduleing a tourney on someone else's day.

Okay, so, I looked in to it, and pretty much every weekend had something going on, so I'm going to be competing with someone guaranteed. This tournament is not meant to be stepping on Cape Cod's balls, but, I couldn't really help it. So apologies to Cape Codders and especially to Pat, the store owner.

We could have waited. There was no reason we couldn't have waited to schedule ours.

We do one every month. If anyone has a problem with this policy, please contact me about it and I'll be happy to discuss it with you.

I don't have a problem, I'm just saying you shouldn't pretend your hands were tied and you couldn't help competing with Cape Cod -that could have been helped.

Not scheduling an event against other is sometimes quite difficult. With the exception of sunday events, there are only 4 definite tourney days per month. Cape Cod plans for the last saturday of every month. Now assume Hadley takes the first saturday of every month, followed by two other places laying claim to saturdays, are we to believe that then no other New England store can have a regular tourney ever, for fear of stepping on another's toes.
I am in no mean condoning planning a tourney intentionally on the same day as anyone else, but laying claim to 1/4 of all ideal tourney days(saturdays) then getting annoyed when events are planned the same day is somewhat bull-headed.
(I am waiting for Tracer Bullet or some other West coaster to chime in here with a "Boo-hoo...I live in New England, I have more tourneys then I have weekend days.")
(Also, please take note, that this is not to suggest it was okay when my last Waterbury was the same day as Cape Cod, believe me or not, I legitimately forgot that Rob had mentioned the regular scheduling of their events to me prior to setting a date. I was just absent minded and still feel kinda bad about it.)
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is, although stepping on other people's toes is bad for everyone...if you are doing a regularly scheduled once a month tourney and your particualr date is always set in stone(last satuday of each month) then these things, unfortunately, are bound to, and will, happen.

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!
I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was. I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury. I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

First off, I'd like to start by apologizing.
I, personally, don't really mind too much that the Hadley tournament was scheduled the same day; sometimes, these things cannot be helped and tournaments end up conflicting with eachother. The only reason I'm a bit disappointed is 'cuz I like seeing the people who come down for these events.
Oh well.
Pat, the storeowner, on the other hand, doesn't even know about their tournament. I haven't told him. If he knew, though, that Ben had consciously scheduled a tournament on the same day that one of ours was scheduled, he would go insane with rage.
Or, something along those lines, anyway.
In any case, I apologize once more, and we'll let things run their course.

Yeah, there are only 4 Saturdays in a month, and if all the other ones are already taken by well known tournaments (waterbury, New Jersey, etc.) we will obviously get the shaft.
