Divine Right 4WB Sorcery Search your library for an artifact, creature, enchantment, or land card and put that card into play. Then shuffle your library.

Divine Right shouldn't be black, and I think white should only be able to search for artifacts and enchantments.

I think the reasoning goes: since it's white, it can search for artifacts and enchantments. Since it's black, it can search for creatures and artifacts. Nothing really prevents either of those oclors from searching for land, thouh it's primarily a white ability. It's like how black can't kill enchantments, and white generally can't kill creatures, but together than can Vindicate the night away.
And why couldn't a dark god be divine in his own way? This message of tolerance is my rhyme of the day!

The color combination seems fine with me and it looks solid right now. I don't see any need to change the card.

There's plenty of precendence for white and black being the colors of religion--just look at how many clerics are blue, red, or green. Also, don't forget [card]Righteous War[/card].
This card is awesome, by the way.

I have some art for this card, but I don't know if I'm happy with it: Type " http://mtoso.tripod.com/divine_right.jpg" into the Address or Location field of your web browser.

I don't like this card. Its like you're asking for another Yawgmoth's Bargain/Mind Over Matter/Dream Halls Fiasco. In Type 2 you can pull out a Darksteel Forge or Colossus way to early, and since there are no reliable counterspells, there is no real way to stop this. Not to mention this completely gets around color restrictions. In many cases this reads "You win the game." Have you lost your mind?

I know this won't happen in a tournament, but if my opponent has Chaos Orb in his hand while I'm controlling his turn from a Mindslaver, who flips the card if I force him to play it and activate it?

The card is good and if lucky you can get it off first turn but it still seems to be an overall balanced card. I don't see any problems with this.

Since green is the usual color for creature/land-tutoring, I'd go for a green-white casting cost rather than the black-white one. Otherwise I think it's fine.

Black is fine. It preserves the 'Divine' flavour of the card and Black is traditionally the best tutor in general, while the other colours have limitations on what they can dig up. Black just normally makes you pay some extra price - in this case, the cost is a lot of mana (like Diabolic Tutor) and having to work with White.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.
