I actually hide icons, so my desktop is just the magicthegathering.com Wallpaper of the Week and a start bar with a bunch of window tabs. I won't even bother uploading a PrintScreen of it.

It's semi-random. All the stuff that is pretty permanent to my desktop stays to the left. Other stuff that may not be permanent is scattered around the rest of the desktop.
When I feel it gets too cluttered, I clean it up a bit.

Rudy: I just use the mtg.com wallpaper of the week and never see my desktop except when I restart. And I have NO icons, because I disabled them, on account of being uglier than Kerz's mom.
