well this will probably get moved to the suicide black forum since that seems to be the place where things are sent to be forgetten Smile  but what the hey.  This is a deck I came up with using clamp and zombie infestation to kill with hordes of zombies then I realized that I could use magma mine to make in into a direct kill deck.  Here goes, this is really just a fun deck with an interestin premise that I hope someone else exploits into a much more competative deck.

Claymore

Kill

4 Magma Mine

Draw Engine

4 Zombie Infestation
4 Legay Weapon (or you could use Serra Avatar)
4 Skull Clamp
4 Ashnod's Altar

Tutors

4 Tainted Pact
4 Desperate Research
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Yawgmoth's Will

1 Lotus Petal
7 SoLoMoxen
4 Dark Ritual
17 Swamps

the basic idea being get infestation out, sac a clamped zombie to get two cards, make another zombie, rinse lather repeat until you hit the legacy weapons and then you start getting infinate mana or infinate zombies.  Attack next turn or hit them with the magma mine.

If you're gonna pull this off, you need some disruption: Duress, Therapy, etc.  The Magma Mines are a bit superfluous (especially four of 'em) - a four card combo is kind of hard to pull off, and with some disruption attacking is not a bad idea.  Desperate Research sucks, and if you are going to use Tainted Pact, at least pull some Swamps for Snow-Covered or duals.  While you're at it, add another color like blue for Intuition and maybe Impulse; those replace the Researches nicely.  I do understand why you refrained from Consultation, though.

Really, the deck sucks.  I know you realize this, but I didn't want to look like a fool myself.

It doesn't seem like you really need a million mana, does it?  Maybe only enough to kill someone?  So take out the Legacy Weapons.  If you want, keep two, but no more.  It seems like you have too much land as well.

I guess the last step would be to take out the Clamps, Zombies and Altars and put in some FoWs, Masks and Dreadnoughts.  Yeah, that's better.

If you can run 4 of all of your combo pieces, why wouldn't you use Consultation or Spoils of the Vault?

His infinite engine is based on having cards in his deck is why.  Especially if he takes out the Weapons, damage is limited to deck size.

as I had stated earlier this is really just an idea for a deck.  The infestation/clamp/ashnod seemed to be a fun engine to toy around with.

rmn: I tried disruption but then the deck started to get too watered down.  IT need to start going off as quick as it can.  any suggestions?

this is basically a mono black version of the old green/white chimera deck which used ashnod's altar/fecundity/saprolings to fuel going infinate
