. This has a strong anti-targetting effect that makes it significantly harder to kill, since most of the black removal spells stipulate non-black creatures. Its drawback is not particularly severe - keeping two creatures in play isn't hard and 1 life is a small price to play for a powerful creature like this one as a first turn play.
If you must keep this card as is, I don't think that this would be undercosted at

In general, I don't like its untargetability - that's a green or blue effect and I don't think there's any good reason to bleed it into black.
Removing the condition from the life loss makes the drawback a little more meaningful.

for a 1/1 Fear that causes a life loss during your upkeep is probably much closer to appropriate costing. It's a significantly worse creature than Carnophage, but Carnophage is pretty darned good!
