Lose Hope - B
Isntant
Target creature get -1/-1 until end of turn

Scry 2

Has anyone looked at this new card from 5th Dawn? I saw it and I thought that it wouldn't be a bad installment to something like a Tog SB as a one of for a Wish Target vs. Welders. The problem is that it is mainly only good for taking out Welders... The added Scry effect can also be pretty beneficial because it can help mana smoothing (somewhat) and has a similar effect of a Brainstorm (just not as strong)

So does anyone think that this has any possibility of making SBs for anti-Welders? Or is just having Null Rod, Wretch, Void, Matrix e.t.c. enough?

Honestly I don't think this would see play but what do I know.  The fact is people would only use it against one card and that is just not enough.  Welders aren't as dominant as they were a couple of months ago and it doesn't seem like there is a need for it.  It is to bad since it looks like a decent card with the scry ability.

Welders are totally dominant. Welder is the best creature in T1.

The problem is, is that this is very narrow. All other solutions (especially in a wish-specific sideboard like Tog, where slots are scarce), are solutions to MULTIPLE problems, which is really key to card choices. BEB works against Blood Moon, Welder and Dragon. Vendetta works against all creatures. Smother works against the Mirror, Welders and 12/12's. Fire/Ice is so flexible I can't even begin to name them. This is'nt flexible at all. That's the whole problem of this card.

Yeah I see what you're saying. I was just wondering if it possibly deserved like one SB slot with a deck with wishes. Though Fire and Ice does have a much broader spectrum of effect.

You already have Blue Elemental Blasts as a sideboarded solution against Welders, and BEB is more versatile because It kills Piledrivers, Pyrostatic Pillars, Worldgorger Dragons and Blood Moons.

Yeah It does. You just need to change Protection from Blue to Protection from Black before Rolling Eyes
