Finally, a store that actually doesn't have a*holes running amuck!

www.coolstuffinc.com has been an online provider and a regular at magic events for years, and now they have opened a store in Central Florida!

It's located on Aloma Blvd. just east of Semoran.

www.coolstuffgames.com

It's kinda hard to find, as they are still trying to get signs made, but it's in the Winter Park Commerce Center, a 2-story office building with metal shingle-roofs.

It's rather small, fitting only 100 people, but it's a relaxed atmosphere, has great prices, and many people are interested in multiple formats, with one guy wanting to start T1 tournies on sunday.  A couple of people are also interested in playing 5-color!

Come on down if you live in or around Orlando, it's become my regular store.  THe prices are good, the singles are nearly always available, and the people don't act like they are god.

If you have any questions about it, just ask me, I'm at the top of the list of getting a job when they start hiring in about 2 weeks.

I go there all the time also. It really is a great store. There's plenty of people who have Type 1 interest, so all we need is some action and we can get a tournament started. Even one of the store owners has a Slaver build that's fully powered, and he even mentioned possibly putting P9 up for prize support.

How far from Orlando?  I'll most likely be moving down in/around Orlando in like three years when I go to Full Sail.

I'd say it's less than a half hour from Full Sail's campus. We get a lot of Full Sail students, so it shouldn't be far, or hard to fit in.

if you are talking about the full sail campus at university and semoron, then I would say it's about 2 minutes away, as it is only a block north.

YES. Multiple Full Sail students play at the various local stores.

And it probably is closer than i stated, i'm not entirely familiar with the area.

Yes, it's only about a block north on semoron.  We are planning on doing monthy T1 tournaments, 10 proxies, and will become more...often when more interest increases.  Rumors are floating around of pieces of power being offered...

Thats awesome.  I didn't know Coolstuff had a store in Orlando.  I'm like an hour from OIA so its workable for me.

I know Jerry, who works as a vendor at the major Magic events, from when we squared off in the finals of an NFL Showdown Regional with airfare+accomdoations to Honolulu/Pro Bowl on the line.

I've never heard of Full Sail though.  Where is it in relation to UCF? I've been there on a campus visit once or twice....

They just opened the store less than a month ago, that's why.
It's an extremely short drive from the UCF campus, 10 minutes or so. Not exactly sure as i've never attempted to find out.

Also, the first Type 1 tournament at Cool Stuff will be July 25th i believe. It will be 10 proxy. Start time, entrance fee and prize structure should be announced pretty soon. I'll post it when i find out.
