Name <Cost> Enchantment If a card would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, instead shuffle that card into its owner's library.
What should something like this cost? It makes every card into an "alabaster dragon". It semi-hoses Reanimator decks, but not worse than Planar Void, and in a white (constructive, not destructive) way. If you could remove your whole library, you could resurrect the old Digger-Browse archetype.
Does this cause too much shuffling, hence slowing IRL games down? If so we could make one of several different triggered abilities (probably "At end of turn, each player shuffles their graveyard into their library), but I woudl rather it be a replacement ability. Most decks don't put THAT many cards in their graveyard...

I think if they're willing to print the beacons, then this would be fine.
I'm not sure what a "fair" cost would be. Judging by the beacons, it could probably be as low as W without being unbalanced.

I'd say W is fair enough. Just don't go higher than 1W ever.

I think this is easily as fair a mechanic as Planar Void, but executed with very white flavour. I probably wouldn't argue against it costing , although the fact that Planar Void is so easy to get into play has been the bane of my existance these past few weeks. I think it needs a name that pays homage to Planar Void. Perhaps you could call it Planar Sanctuary.

Excellent. I have a name, a cost, and now I even solved Ephraim's problem - because as an enchant world, even though it's easily put into play, it's also easier to take out of play.

Does this card break [card]Energy Field[/card]?
-outta It seems so, (since, differently from planar void, it is not a triggered effect, but a replacemente effect). I would rewrite it this way (removing "instead"): "If a card would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, shuffle that card into its owner's library"

I would rewrite it this way (removing "instead"): "If a card would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, shuffle that card into its owner's library" That wording doesn't follow modern templating. If you are using "If", it's either in a conditional if clause, stating a conditional part of an effect, or starting a replacement effect. This needs to be a trigger or a replacement effect. If you changed "if" in your wording to "Whenever" you'd get a trigger which should work.

Just template it off Planar Void:
Whenever a card is put into a graveyard, shuffle that card into its owner's library.
Suggested flavour text:
Though death is oft a fate deserved, Herein is every mote preserved. --Sanctuary gate inscription

Ops! Yes, of course you are right.. I simply removed the "instead" word and took not enough attention on the resulting phrase. My bad.

This doesn't need to be a triggered ability. Confer with Darksteel Colossus. This card basically turns every card into a mini-Colossus (save being indestrucible, derr). An 'if' clause is fine. An interesting card.. neuters unsuspecting Dragon, opens up the door for crazy combo.. I like.

It was made a triggered ability so that it wouldn't totally break Energy Field. Having a few cards, like Colossus, that don't ever actually hit the graveyard, is okay. Having none of your cards hit the graveyard is not okay. Also note that part of the reason why Colossus is a replacement effect is so that there is no way to ever get him by reanimation.

Not so. That wording is reserved for when a card shuffles itself in, instead of going to the graveyard. With Darksteel Colossus, for example, if you didn't have to reveal it, you could claim you were discarding a Darksteel Colossus and simply shuffle it into your library, yielding a free shuffle. With this, the identity of the card doesn't matter. If it's going to the graveyard, it gets shuffled in, as long as Planar Sanctuary is in play. Furthermore, because the card actually hits the graveyard (a face-up zone) for a brief moment, the identity of the card must become known. That's one of the advantages of making this a triggered effect, rather than a replacement effect.
