Little background...I'm just getting into vintage after some mild success in type 2 around here, and i've been expearamenting with 7/10 a little bit as it seems to be the deck that fits my tastes most...here's the build i'm using.

I use the prodigal for selfish reasons, is this slot too valueable to add a bit of personality to the deck?  i dont see it getting countered much, and when all else fails, it can take down an opposing welder..

The other thing that i dont see in other 7/10 decks is the fire/ice, i'm mostly running them because i have them, and intuitions seemed to fit even less Razz

I would think the 4th FoW would be more important than the Prodigal Sorcerer. =P  It might seem cute but Prodigal Sorcerer will be less useful than FoW in more cases I would think (especially in the first game where you can't side it out).  When I first started making decks, I put a lot of random cards in too.  If you really want you can put the Sorcerer in the sideboard and then bring it in against decks where it would be useful Game 2 and 3 after sideboarding.

Of course, you might want to consider other pingers such as Razorfin Hunter, Suquuta Firewalker, and that new Vulshok Sorcerer with haste.  I think with your mana base you could support the dual colour requirement.

Definately get rid of Prodigal Sorcerer. I don't see any reason why you would keep him in there - it's basically like a slower, weaker, non-recurrable version of Triskelion.

I assume Ancestral and Time Walk are absent because you dont own them?  If you do, then go ahead and drop the fire/ice for power.   As others have hit on, prodigal sorcerer is not optimal.. I think you'd be happier with a granite shard (at least it works with welder/thirst/workshop)
if you insist on a pinger.  

I'd run a 4th thirst over the FoF.  the extra mana IS that important if you play enough games..

I didn't know 3 forces was possible now a days? lol add a fourth definately

4th thirst also a good Idea, considering it's like the best card in this deck.

Yeah, Prodigal should be dropped. Honestly, every slot in Type 1 is too important to add a card like this. I've added questionable stuff to decks before (to give them that personal flavor), but Prodigal isn't one of those cards. What's better: Ancestral or Tim? FoW #4 or Tim? Time Walk or Tim? See what I mean?

Also, there are certain cards that really need to be run in 4's. Force of Will is one of those cards.  In the case of 7/10, you should also be running a 4th Thirst for Knowledge.

Timetwister is not as important in this deck. Do you own Ancestral Recall?
