ive recently built g@y/r fish and ive piloted it to some success. one card in question however, is voidmage prodigy. though it is a solid card, i dislike the double blue needed to use its ability and that doesnt seem to mesh will with fish since im always tapped out. i was wondering if i should go back to the decks humble roots and use the once staple rootwater theifs? to me at least, they seem the better choice as they usually are a must counter spell. i havent seen them much in T1 however recently so it makes me wonder if they are still effecient.

im just looking for some insights into this little diemna im having. for now however, ill go with the rootwater theives. thanks in advance

I have been tinkering with those 2 slots for some time, and I have found razorfin hunter to be the correct call. It allows free pings, pitches to FoW, makes a great curiosity target. This combined with grimlavamancer allows this deck to deal with some of the larger threats in t1, as well as alow a massive barrage of direct damage which is good in games where you cannot get a strong foot hold quickly.

hmmm, interesting suggestion, that does seem like a good call. not only does it help vs a lot of other decks, it also give you an advantage in the mirror. that seems like a good idea, thanks, ill test it out

No deck is always the same.  It's impossible for me to say "Oh, those two slots, I know exactly what you mean," because frankly, I don't. I have absolutely no idea what cards you are playing that I am not, so how can I make a suggestion?

Gay/r has multiple card choices that you should tinker with based on your meta. The stifle/misdirection/everything count varies alot between decks because of this.

Not enough discussion to start a whole new thread.
