What is 3cb?

3-Card Blind (3CB) is a very unique game. The rules are as follows

Your deck is composed of 3 cards, all of which start in your hand.
You have no library (technically, the library exists, but starts at 0 cards) and no sideboard (Wishes fetch nothing).
Random effects always go in your opponent's favour.
You can see your opponent's hand, so you can always make the best possible play.
You don't lose as a result of not being able to draw a card.
You will play each opponent twice, once going first, once going second.
For each win, you score 3.
For each draw, you score 1.
For each lose, you get nothing.
Other than the aforementioned, EVERYTHING IS HANDLED EXACTLY LIKE A REAL GAME OF MAGIC!

To make an entry, PM your deck to me in the following format:

Subject: 3cb Tournament #37 Entry or 3cb Tournament#37 Revision
Deck Name
Card #1
Card #2
Card #3

Optional Deck discussion, random sucking up, etc.


I'll close entries after 2 weeks. Get your entries in by 22nd July and I'll calculate. As I said, the banned list may change within 48 hours of this post going up. After that, it stays as it is. This is not a reason to withold your decks, though - this is not a particuarly serious format! If something's broke, please fix it whilst we can!

The banned list is unlikely to change, however, as we still haven't found a dominant deck.

I think that there should be an earlier deadline for decks - I've been trying to calculate some of them this morning while you're at work (being ill can be great sometimes...), and frankly it's a pain in the ass to have to stick decks on the end when they've had two weeks to get them in. I'd be tempted to say decks in by the 19th - gives you 3 days to calculate them.

As for the results, I'll speak for them - we're almost finished with them. They'll be up later today.

I find it very disturbing that Skullcage didn't make the ban list.  Does that mean my deck for #36 scrubbed out?  Oh well, I'll think of something better this time.

Hmmmmm.

Well, it's been a week, and I have a grand total of 8 entries, including my own! I would be disappointed if there was a need for second decks now that the 2-week rule thing has come in - this is not like voting, your deck really does count and make the tournament better! If I still have fewer than 15 decks by next monday, then I will put in second decks. If possible, I would like people to wait before sending their second decks until I have announced that they will be legal, as it saves a large amount of unnecessary work on both the community's part and mine if the number of entries greatly increases suddenly.

Please send decks to me if you haven't already, they are much appreciated!

EDIT: I now have 15 decks. No second decks will be allowed for this tournament. QUite what's happened to the interest, I don't know - possibly something to do with the large tournaments happening at the moment.
