How long can a player take to make choices for spells such as Brainstorm, tutors, and Serum Visions?

I lost a match (and a spot in the t4) because the guy managed to delay time long enough so he could win 1-0 and I was wondering if this jerk was allowed to do that.

...and is there a max turn length?

There is no specific time limits for slow play.  It has to be evaluated on a case by case basis.

If you feel your opponent is stalling, call a judge.

Be sure to call the judge as soon as you think there might be a problem--it's much easier to prevent/spot stalling then to have to rule on it after the round is over.

I might be inclined to say something if the person was taking more than a minute or two for a card like those.  Brainstorm I would let slide more easily because it is a key card in a lot of plays.  But in general if people need to stall to win then they have already lost.

That is totally naïve. If that were the case, stalling wouldn't be an issue Sad
