Hello, I've heard from some people in the area that people gather to play T1 on Wednesdays around 6PM at this place.

Unfortunately, I have no idea where it is.

I just moved here and woudn't mind being able to play tonight.

If someone could PM me or post directions or at least its general location / adress, that would be great.

Thank you very much.

Thanks. I ended up showing up there this tonight, and although it was cool, I didn't meet any TMDers.

I played with a bunch of casual guys, and it was a pretty good time.

Was there anyone there that I missed?

Welcome to LA Robert!  Hope you like the weather.  Very Happy

What days do people play type 1 at shops in the LA area?  Is Frank & Sons just Wednesdays at 6 pm?  Do Gems, Legacy Comics, or Allways Gaming have type 1 players there in the evenings during the week?  I don't play tournaments due to a lack of cards, but if people don't mind playing against a deck with a lot of proxies, I'll try to get to type 1 night after work.

Also, is there any chance that someone is going to run a tournament with at least, say, 10 proxies anytime soon in the LA area?  I seem to remember that one place in LA allowed collector edition cards in addition to 5 proxies at some of their tournaments.  Something like the $5 (relatively cheap entrance fee) unlimited proxy type 1 that Eudemonia does in Northern California could probably draw more players.  CA tournaments have seemed kind of small recently.

Several quick things-

There are usually more T1 guys there during the day on Saturday than on Wed night.

Where in LA are you?  I'm gonig to be moving up to Westwood in the fall, and I wanted to get a playtest group together up there.

-For all people- always, ALWAYS ask Don first if he's got the cards you need.  He's always got the cheapest prices, in addition to just being the coolest guy there.  I just got an Ancestral and a Sapphire from him for $315 total, so yeah, check his stuff out.

I'm going to be announcing a tournement on the 14th of August pretty soon- it'll be a 5-proxy, Mox tourney.

Come to think of it, I should go do that now...

Welcome to the West coast. Check out this link . . .
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/wct1/

Its a yahoo group that will help keep you quasi up to date on local things and stuffs.

Keep your ears open for "Gems" it has quickly become a quarterlyish Socal tournament that Tracerbullet puts on for us, Usually a good time. Lastly If you ever find yourself in San Diego on a monday night Check out Dons@ Balboa Park. Its a small monday night event, but a good place to play. Don is there so there is always a decent amount cards. (and the prices are a hair lower than at franks)

Welcome!
