I, being the noob I am, use Ertai's Meddling in place of two Mana Drains.

I have yet to lost a game against combo (irrellevent, I know), but I wondered what would happen if I, say, Ertai a Tendrils of Agony for 1 turn?

Does that make the whole darn spell get delayed for one turn, resolving during their next upkeep without their precious "Storm Count", or does the only the original spell get delayed, while the Storm copies get put on the stack?

I am assuming the former, because it makes Ertai's that much cooler, but the whole "Countering a Storm card like Tendrils counters the original copy only. Storm Copies still kill you now," thing confuses me. Ertai's doesn't counter spells. It delays them. Do the storm copies get put in the stack always, barring Stifling them? Does Ertai's Meddling somehow put the original spell in Ertai's Limbo along with storm effects? Should Ertai's Meddling be banned for these kind of questions?  Wink

I must know! Ertai's is my secret anti-Blue tech! If it somehow deals with Tendrils Combo Decks for 1U, then Ertai's is a god!

Ertai's Meddling would only delay a single copy. All of the other copies have nothing to do with the first copy resolving. They are present as a result of the Storm ability being triggered upon the spell being cast.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.
