Does anybody remember this? I recall a thread about reviving the event back in Novemberish or so, but there appeared to be little interest in managing it.
I think it would be really fun (and community building) to get some of the common faces from TMD to play their pet decks in a casual setting tournament, especially with the same style as the oldschool Invitationals.
I'm totally interested in setting this up. Anybody else have interest in playing and/or helping me organize it?

I'm deffinately interested, casual is a ton of fun. One thing im unsure about is the deffinition that everyone would use for casual.

One thing im unsure about is the deffinition that everyone would use for casual. Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to play WTF/r or my silly highlander deck.

I was figuring on pet decks. Things that could be sort of competitive, but not really. For example, Smmenen playing MonoU with Prohibit, or Carl playing Revenge.

I'd be happy to play, but as most people are already saying, I'd be pretty pissed if I played something funny like 1997 OSE then played versus like... a good deck.
As long as everyone understands what casual is, we should be fine.

Now THAT's the spirit. Let's get some more interest like that. If we can get like two pages of people interested on the topic, I'll start working on the specifics and sending some invitiations. I'll be opening my mailbox to invitation suggestions/requests too, but not just yet.

There are plenty of people to play in this, and plenty of pet decks. I'd be looking forward to see PTW play Fro.

Oh man I could totally bust out PTF with Night's Whisper tech.
Or Secret Bees. But that's probably too casual.

I'd love to play in this thing. maybe I'll play Combo Dragons. It'd be cool as hell if that shit worked. Of course I think it goes off like turn 5 at best so it may be a little out of reach as far as competative casual decks go ...maybe the grip of chaos capsize deck should make a comeback? EDIT: right combo dragons, not dragon combo. This uses the storm dragon card to get two coppies of Bladewing the Risen with a Goblin Sharpshooter in play. It's really silly.

I'd also play, but I might have to go with the infamous FUB. It would obviously have to be have some minor tweaks to continue its utter dominance, but as the defending champion (of some other crappy online tourney), I'd be expected to bring a powerhouse like FUB to the table. The cards may change, but the hate will remain the same. I could also bring some other crazy pile to the party, but I think all my fan (yes there's only one) would be disappointed if I didn't play FUB.

I'd play Would chains keeper be acceptable? It was pretty awful. OR would I have to settle for the old school 5c keeper with grim monolith/power artifact for the win

From the way it's looking, even Suicide Black might be too strong a deck to play. Let the good times roll.
