Figures that Darren would totally whiff on the idea of a casual deck. Unless it's some Reap deck that ISN'T ReapLace.
Also:
FABULOUS PRIZES[/color] will be awarded in the following categories:
Winner of the Tournament
Best Deck Name
Best Play
Worst Play
Most Inventive Deck
Most Outlandish Card Choice
Best Theme for a Deck
Worst Manabase
Least Effective Use of Broken Cards
Most Effective Use of Bad Cards
and, if applicable, The Mise-Prize, which will be awarded to a player who manages to lose every single game (if you drop from the tournament, you will not be eligible for the Mise-Prize). If there are (god forbid) multiple valid claims to the Mise-Prize, one will be selected ENTIRELY AT RANDOM.
A SUPER-SPECIAL ULTRA[/color]-Prize will be awarded to anyone who manages to deck Toad.
More categories in which you can win FABULOUS PRIZES may be added as we think of them, so don't change the channel!

I think we want all decklists in by this weekend, so we can get on with the tournament.
As for power level, just have an idea of what 'casual' means. It means you're not in it to win - you should pick a deck which you just want to see in action. Combo is frowned upon, but having synergy is not. If you submit something too strong, we'll let you know.
Some examples of the sort of power level we're looking for are, say, a Domain deck, or TurboHaups, which I'm playing. Other people are playing Batle of Wits (Toad) or a highlander deck (Jacob).
If you suspect your deck is too strong, it probably is.

The other deck I would want to run would be an updated version of the deck I played way back in the day with far too many slow non basic lands like outpost and glaciers and blessings to make it even slower.

The banned list isn't definitive. If you find a fair way to use Drains like Eastman seems to have, that's okay, but in general just avoid those insane cards. You know the ones we're talking about (startswithYawgmothderfderf (especially Yawgmoth's Edict!)).
