When you are at negative life and surviving due to Plat, can you use the alternate cost of FoW?  What about something like Vampiric Tutor or Bargain?

You can't pay life if your life total is 0 or less.

Vampiric isn't paying life, it is life loss as the effect.  So you can cast Vamp or Skeletel Scrying, but not use Bargain.

But do you have to keep track of negative life considering you could gain life to bargain again.

Losing track of your own life total could get you procedural error warnings, or possibly get you in more serious trouble.

I'll say it differently. Can you have negative life or you can't have less than zero life? That was the original intention, but you didn't quite get it, because I know you have to keep track of life.

Your original post lacked a question mark, which can be confusing.  Please try to type more carefully.

Yes, you can go into negative life totals and must keep track of this.

And I think this thread has gone as far as it can.
