But "necromancy" isn't necessarily black--there's a definite precedent for white and green cards bringing creatures back to life in Magic.

Eh.  D&D necromancy tries not to be too blatantly Evil(TM), so as to give the paladins an excuse not to kill the party necromancers on sight.  I suppose that doesn't translate very well to black ,where it can't even do anything good without someone dying.
