I'll do my best to make it, provided I can convince people who own cars to make the trek. With that serious a prize on the table, I might even be able to stir up our UIUC Extended enthusiasts.

I appear to have a full car if Orlove is in. One guy is unsure of whether or not he'll make it though, so people can still call dibs on being the backup passenger.

Anybody who lives in the Chicago area know if there's a bus or subway or something similar that goes to Niles from University of Chicago? Mapquest puts the drive at 40 minutes, but, of course, I won't have my car in Chicago.

Alright Bitches, it's on!!! Me and Godot will be traveling up to Chi-town to put CO on the map. Any Meandeckers going? Last time I played in C-Bus, I managed to T4 without actually facing any Meandeckers. This time I'll collect some heads on my way to winning the lotus. Also, I'm calling out the Chi-town Crew as well as any peeps coming from WI.

What the heck - why not make a great event even better. Why not give everyone more reasons to come out to the Type 1 Star City Power 9 event in Chicago? So, what can make this better? How about more Type 1 events? How about Type 1 events for CASH $$ !! In addition the massive prizes sent in by Star City, we are adding the following events: 11.06 $500 Type 1 Tournament Cost: $20 Time: 5pm 11.07 $250 Type 1 Tournament Cost: $20 Time: 12 noon Both of these events will be held at Pastimes (same location as the big Type 1 event). By the way, there are a bunch of pretty reasonable hotels nearby - we will post a list shortly of what is available. We look forward to seeing everyone there. -------------------- Alan Hochman President Pastimes Cards, Comics & Games "Other people call them conventions, we call them Saturdays." www.pastimes.net

Hi all, For those who may be interested... 1. Thursday's StarCityGames.com update will include an announcement that hundreds of popular Vintage foils have been added to the site. If you're into such things, and want to check it out before the rest of the community knows about the update, please consider this a heads up. If you're wanting to order some of the foils to use in your Chicago deck, please note that we CAN bring them with us (see below). 2. StarCityGames.com will be debuting our HUGE inventory of foreign singles at the Chicago event! If you have any unusual requests, please e-mail Ben at ben@starcitygames.com and let him know ahead of time. 3. If you want to place an order for ANYTHING, and have us to bring to Chicago with us, it MUST be placed by 4pm on Thursday. When checking out, please put the words, "I'm picking this up at the P9 tournament in Chicago" into the provided comments field, and we will make sure that we bring your cards with us. Regarding the event itself... We've received reports that players from BOTH COASTS (and many states in between) are making the trip to Chicago for this Saturday's event. Way cool. See everyone in Chicago!
