I'd love to see the legendary raven that is a tribute to Raven Familiar:

Blashyrkh, Mighty Ravendark
4UB
Creature - Bird Legend
2/3
Whippoorwill ( This creature is a Bird but does not fly )
When Blashyrkh comes into play, look at the top six cards of your library. Take two of those cards into your hand and put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.

Just double raven. and 2/3. Should it be 2/4 to really be double raven?

Errol, Dark Raven
4UB
Creature - Bird Legend
2/3
Flying
When Errol, Dark Raven comes into play, look at the top six cards of your library. Put two of those cards into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.

The King is dead, long live the King!

I hereby bequeath my crown to the new King of bad names.

That name makes my eyes hurt worse than the new Magic card format!!
Such a bad name deserves dandan flavour

It's a song title by a band called Immortal.

far above the ravengate
the spreaded wings of blashyrkh waits
Above the roaring depths
Sits the oath of frost
On the elder raventhrone

Older mountains sleeping in my sight
By chilling woods I stand
A grimly sound of naked winds
Is all that shall ever be heard from here

Cometh the rightful kings of highest halls
Cry of tavens lurk the realm
Eternally through the noctambulant grimness

...Demons stride at the gates of blashyrkh...
...Blashyrkh... Mighty ravendark...

I'm no big fan of the band nor the name. Also, this could be copyright infringement Smile

Bad name, and a non-flying bird? Please tell me it's April.

OK, so I forgot to add flying, which should obviously have been there.

And yes, the name is a song. So y'all want something that's a bit more generic, I think?

Ragas, Stormraven

No, I like the "mighty ravendark" part. What about "something, Mighty Ravendark?" Just give it a bird's name, and it's set.

Tweety, Mighty Ravendark

The ravens at the Tower of London don't fly (allegedly).

Cut the discrimination against non-flying birds. Next thing you'll be complaining about wingless angels being able to fly!

Nobody has commented on my proposed flavour text. I guess it is hard to choose between the two.

I liked Bram's suggestion better...

Or then the first line of the song, replacing blashyrkh with this thing's name-to-be.

Far above the ravengate, with spreaded wings "This Bird" waits.

Most likley because the raven he modelled this on is blue, but the flavor for this card is black. Also, because it's cool. But that's just my guess.

Actually, if you drop the 'might ravendark' the name is OK-ish. We have more strangely named creatures. Simply 'Blashyrkh' wouldn't be half bad.

Correct wording :

When ~this~ comes into play, look at the top six cards of your library. Put two of them into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.

Didn't we have a policy against using cards that are "borrowed" from other copyrighted material? Naming a card after a lyric from a published song and then using other lyrics from said song as flavour text just doesn't seem like a particularly honourable thing to do.

Did you know that Red is the color or art and music and passion? Combine that with Green, the color of nature, spiritualism, and community and you get a hippie commune of drum circles, dreamcatchers, and recreational drug use. Let's see that win a Pro Tour.

The short answer: yes.

The long answer: um...yes.

Tributes are OK so long as they're untraceable to the large public. I not sure if this is the case here.
