Alright, so my insommnia kept me up last night and my mind began to drift off. During my contemplation I wondered why not more magic cards have names attachted to them. We all know that morphling is superman and that tog is the Hulk but what about the others. Well I made a basic list of possible candidates of creatures who were famous in the game at one point or another. This is just for fun.
Decree of Justice: Justice League
Phyrexian dreadnought: Dr.Doom
Exalted Angel: Hawk Girl or Wonder Woman
Rainbow Efreet: The Invisible Woman
Gorilla Shaman: The Punisher ??
Thats all that I can think off rigth now. Feel free to name any other cards with names you give them.

Ok since I love comic books (and own Hulk 181) I think I'll try adding somthing to this
Gorilla Shamen =/= Punisher If I had to chose anything he would be along the lines of... hmm... I don't know...
Royal Assassin = Punisher
Then of course we have big bad Wolverine. He would have to be a creature with the "Rampage" Mechanic so of course you choose
Wolverine Pack = Wolverine (hey I know its not that good but you need to have somthing with Rampage in it) Either that or
Gorilla Berserkers = Wolverine
Then of course we have Collossus which is simple
Darksteel Collossus = Collosus
This one is a bit more for the comic fans but:
Squee, Goblin Nabob = Spiderman
You really just can't get rid of spiderman no matter how many times you kill him.
Then of course we have Mindslaver who steals your minds and your turns thats pretty easy
Mindslaver = Professor X / Cerebro
For those who don't know Cerebro was the machine Prof X used to amplify his mind powers.
Then we have Rouge who stole your powers so that means
Doppleganger = Rouge
And then just because i have EXTREAM predjudice
Cloud of Faries = Daredevil (god I hate daredevil)
I'm sure that i'll think of more and when I do i'll post them because this is an excellent topic.
*EDIT*
I almost forgot
Grim Lavamancer = Human Torch (or maybe Pyro)
Then if you are old school you can do this:
Giant Man and Wasp = Pentavus

It is hard to give a card like Gorilla Shaman a special name since it already has one(mox monkey). It seems like a card that we should leave alone.

Actually, Doppelganger would be Mystique. BERSERK MURLODONT would be Sabertooth, maybe? Sundering Titan would be Appocalypse. Goblin Welder would be Forge.
Edit: Exalted Angel would maybe be Wonder Woman, and Lightning Angel would maybe be Captain America.

Actually Doppleganger wouldn't be mistique, she can turn into anyone without there being anyone around. Where as Rouge needs to have the person around to steal there powers like Doppleganger.

Yes we all know Jean Gray really didn't die after the dark pheonix saga but spiderman has survivied more horrible situations than she ever will. Rogue could be considered Duplican't but she doesn't have to remove them from the game and I"m pretty sure Darksteel Colossus would be Colossus.
As for the Storm Comment I really like that. Too bad we couldn't use Storm on a Storm Card (Mind's Desire, Tendrals) But I must say that some people would say that if we use the example of Halle Berry for storm then she may very well be Mind's Desire.
Is there anyway to change my "TMD User" to "Comic Book Geek"?

I think the green goblin should be Siege-Gang commander:
The green goblin spawned various other goblins so this could be illustrated by the commansers ability.
Gorilla shaman seems best to fit kraven the hunter to me. All moxes cower in fear of him!
